Thanks for the info. How have the games been at Harrah's? I like the 1/3 there since they changed the cap to $500. Is that room busier as well, or does WPO traffic not spill over to there?

Thanks!

WPO traffic spills over to just about all except Hollywood.

How has the turn out been for the WPO so far? Plenty of action in the cash games? If the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise, we will be there on Wednesday night.

Numbers for noon events are running between 200-440. As usual they are putting on a good event.

Crazy action at the Strike this weekend with spill over from the tourneys keeping the cash tables full with variety. Yesterday had a 100/300 Triple draw, 10/20 limit o8 and at least 2 PLO tables along with the obligatory NLHE games . Surely there was more, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind

Folks were definitely there to gamble. For a couple of hours on the 1/2 PLO game I was in, seemingly every other hand was a flip fest 3 way preflop for hundreds.

Must book room for next weekend asap.

Thanks Jason, I appreciate the info. Sounds great! By any chance did you notice any $4/8, $5/10 or $6/12 O8 games? We'd like to play a small limit O8 game if possible.

I don't recall, but if you start a list, I have no doubt you'll get takers at some point.

With Ken Lambert gone to OK, who's running the show?

The Strike has not filled Ken's position yet Eric Cromer is running the WPO tourneys. Johnny Grooms came up for a couple of days to help.

For some reason we had trouble getting a game going Friday night. When I got there they didn't have a list so I played 1-2 NLH.

Sometime around midnight one of the 1-2nlh games switched to a half and half. I asked for a table change and got in pretty quickly. It went straight PLO sometime around 1, and the game broke heads-up around 6:30. I should have kept playing but was completely out of gas.

When I got back Sat night around 11, 3 games were going and one was still going when I left around 11Am Sunday morning.

Did we play together? I was wearing a black Masters Hat. I've got a really busy week but I may do a short trip report if I get a chance.

I'm going to be staying at Harrah's on Wed the 10th and Thurs the 11th.

I'm hoping to get some feedback as far as where to play. Chances are I'm going to be begin playing by around 1PM each day, play for 4 or 5 hours, breaking for dinner and then playing until about 2AM.

I typically play either $2/$5 or $1/$2 NL and I also like $1/$2 PLO.

I'm ok with changing rooms during dinner if one is better in the afternoon and another at night.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

When I arrived at 1pm Saturday, we started a 6 handed 1/2 PLO game that lasted a grand total of 35 minutes.

I was on the PLO table along the rail from 5pm Sat until 2am Sunday wearing a black Ping jacket.

Sounds like I just missed you.

I opened the table in the front left around 10:30-11 and moved to the back right table when we got short. That table was crazy. We had a guy opening almost every pot for 20-30. Half the time i think he dark raised.

We lost a bunch of players when they tried to change our drop box. The new box wouldn't lock in and they didn't have a replacement so they made us change tables. There was nothing they could do but it killed the game. On top of that they had just bounced one of our drunk players and when they moved us to the new table we lost a couple more. About 6am it got down to me and the same guy I played heads up with Sat morning. We decided to move to your table around 6am.

I think i got the worst seat at the table. I wound up in the 8 and everyone to my left for the next several hours was pretty solid for a 1-2 game. I'm not sure who was left from your lineup but the 9, 1, 3 and 4 seats all played really solid from what I remember.

The 1-2 plo last night on 13 had at least 40k on it. Was the biggest 1-2 plo I've ever seen.

The Horseshoe daily and Goldstrike mostly on weekends. Harrahs sometimes, Samstown very rarely and Hollywood never.

Got to Tuncia yesterday and played at both the Horseshoe and GS. Action was so so at best, but it was Wednesday night, so that's totally understandable. It was def. better than I would expect on a non-tournament week though.

Horseshoe seems to be running alot of promotions, which alot of people seemed to be playing for. Some of them are pretty neat, a nice little bonus.

I'll def. be posting a trip report when we get back to Texas.

I am thinking about driving down to Tunica tomorrow and staying for 3 or 4 days(longer if the games are good) and haven't been in over a year. What will the action be like at the horseshoe and gold strike?

Specifically, I'm interested in whether the 20/40 will be running plus any other limit games. Also what games will be running during the week?

Lastly, what kind of promotions/room rates are available at HS and GS?

Thanks for any help!

Yeah, they capped the jackpot at 100K, and word is they are running the promos with the jackpot money that has come in since.

Basically, the biggest one is the hourly bad beat promo where if you have the best hand that gets beaten in an hour (off-peak hours only), then you get a prize based on how good of a hand you lost with. Both cards have to play, etc.

They were doing one this week where you had to get flushes of all 4 suits in one day to win something or other, but the floor would only come and mark your card about half the time, so it was pretty stupid. But the good news is people who habitually chase every flush would chase even more of them.
