1/3 at Fortune is pretty spicy. 2-3 tables each nite this week.

1k stacks sighted

Id say the Fortune 1/3 is getting up there. People spewing racks on racks

Does make me question the long term health of the game, but then its only 1/3. No ones forcing u to donate chips

Thank Fortune for bringing the game here. Much better than the Tulalup

Do you think the new Fortune 1/3 game will take away from the Muckleshoot 3/5 action?

So you think most people that go to fortune look at 2 + 2 or have heard of it? I go there all the time and I would bet the under.

I'd bet 20% or less of players. But it's probably a lot more like 60% for the dealers.

Was looking for a day game alternative, but Fortune is not it. Most players buy in near minimum and play tight scared poker - OMG, it's no limit!

Might get more action off smaller games to lessen the intimidation factor.

Night games might be different though.

Hey you guys might find this interesting, specially since some of you have met me IRL.

Let me know what you think!

Played at fortune a few days back. I would say Tulalip is much juicier, people just want to have a good time, and you get a lot more random people throwing cash around. Fortune felt more like tightish poker, but not terrible. Most people bought in for 300 and there were 3 stacks over $900 deep at my table.

My time spent at the Tulalip does not reflect this. 1/3 tables filled with stone faced people, not any different than Fortune.

FORTUNE FOOD REVIEW: KUNG PAO CHICKEN

Really bad. Probably among the worst KPs I've ever had. Stingy portion of dried out chicken, peanuts tossed in as a garnish and not cooked. Rice was old and barely edible.

I have a feeling they need to tighten up the menu and make sure all thr food they offer is as good as it can be. Their chow fun noodles are great, but the KPC is utter doody. Hit and miss is not good!

Makes sense. Few other questions while we have you;
1) Why drive instead of fly to L.A.?
2) Do you ever stop at Bay 101 on the way and play?
3) Are the limit games in LA really that much better than everywhere else, or just bigger?

Anyone know the buy ins for Tulalips upcoming pow wow series? I'm sure there's a flier I can't seem to find...but the January poker link itself is devoid of buy in information.

1)I have been here the whole month. Makes more sense to have a car. Like I went to Vegas and played over Christmas Eve and Christmas day then came back to LA.
2)I have played there. I always stop in San Fran because it is my favorite west coast city. (Games aren't as amazing at Bay101 as they used to be)
3)Yes, bigger and better in everyway. Though I did hear the Fortune had 4 20s the other day....

I have played there three times in their 1/3 game so far. Every time there were 1k plus stacks at the tables with plenty of action.

What time period were you there? When I was there during the day time hours, players were actually praising one player for leaving with $900 because that's the "smart thing to do" to lock up a win.

Fortune spread game is very likely to hurt the Muck 3/5. Some of the action players might prefer the different game for a bit less $$. Then some of the 3/5 regulars might follow them over. Muck could respond by making some kind of smaller spread option, like Tulalip's 1/3. Overall I've been hearing the 3/5 games got much tougher the last 5-7 years. People who used to play 5/10 playing 3/5 and 3/5 players broke or playing 1/3 etc.

Does anyone know if you can show up at start time of a Monday non-NLHE tourney and get a seat immediately?

Yup. Always thought a Muck 1/3 would do well. Played some poker at the Muck. My experience is the Muck 2/5 plays bigger than the Tulalip 3/5, as a general rule. Glad Fortune has stepped up. The Tribals need some competition especially now with a major contraction in the Tribal poker room capacity. Go to the Tulalip on the weekend, the demand exists for higher stakes poker.

The Tribes screwed up big time fighting on-line poker in the State. On-line poker drives live cash poker.

I can't really speculate Muck as I am not a regular there, but Tulalip's 1/3 is one of the reasons why 3/5 has slowed down quite a bit.

If you're a losing player or believe that 3/5 has gotten much tougher in the last 5-7 years, what would you do? Play 1/3.

Spreading 1/3 won't help 3/5; it would simply kill it faster.
