Yes but it's a few years dated. I suppose I'm hoping to get an updated list or a few off the top of people's heads

m8trix and bay101 have 2-3-5 deepstacked

Is Graton the only place with true NL? I have never played the 3 blind structure before. Does 2-3-5 play like 5-10?

i assume you mean "true" NL by being able to match up to the bigstack. otherwise no limit is no limit. 3 blind structure means you post 2 on the button. encourages bigger pots indeed.

No I meant 2blind structure. And not spread limit I suppose

I've never seen a 3 blind structure before and most that I read in trying to learn about them are spread limit. The 3 blind structure's min to call preflop is 2x the biggest blind right? So a 2-3-5 is 3sb 5bb and 2 button with 10 to call preflop?

So I'm curious does that make play much like a 5-10 game? Buyins around 1500? What is right below 2-3-5, because I'm not quite good enough to play 5-10. 1-2-3?

2-3-5 basically plays like 5-10, the basic difference being that opening the pot isn't "limping," as you are matching the pot and can take it down if no one calls. You can open for as much as you want, but since opening at all is a lot like raising in a standard blind structure I tend to treat it like the first raise and go from there.

*confused* you can limp in for 5 in most 2-3-5 games. from my experience, the 100bb cap games in the bay play like 2-5 elsewhere.

the deeper games play like 5-10 as there are constant opens for 25-40

We're talking about Northern California 2-3-5, 10-to-go structure, aren't we?

well if that's what you're talking about then i bow out as i have no experience with 2-3-5, 10-to-go. my sincere apologies for the confusion.

but my point is that there's like only 1 2-3-5 game i know of that is 10-to-go... and that's because it's on the spreadsheet.

I realize this is in spreadsheet, but since there has been some confusion...

Lucky Chances - has 3/5 game, 5 to go, $500 max buy-in; also 5/10

Bay - $2 (btn)/$3 (SB)/$5 (BB), 5 to go, $500 max buy-in. Also has deep-stack with same structure but $1500 max buy-in. Sometimes gets $5/10/10 that is $20 to go so plays like $10/20

Matrix -2/3/5, 5 to go, $500 max buy-in. Also deepstack with same structure but $2000 max buy in. M/W/F gets $10/25 no cap game

Don't know about east bay. But as far as I know, only Oaks has a spread limit game (1/2 equivalent, 200 max bet). And I don't know of any 2/3/5 games where it is 10 to go.

Jeebus, 2-3-5, 5-to-go is the worst of both worlds. Whose dumb idea was that?

Wat? It's more normal than to have to make a raise to limp.

Anyone been to the Palace in Hayward recently? 101 and Matrix are 50 min drive from me. Only Palace is decently close. Anyone know how the NL action is? Heard the 1-2-2 is no max buy in.

I've only been to the palace a hand full of times in the past 2 years and it's hit or miss for me on the action. Sometimes it was juicy action with deep stacks other times it was nitty action with shallow stacks.

I can't think of a place where Palace is the closest and Bay/Matrix is second closest.

Cal Grand has 2/2/3 and 2/3/5 NL. There is also the Livermore Casino but I don't know what they spread.

It approximates 2/5 NL if there's a NFFD rule.

Anywhere between San Leandro and central Fremont, I should think.

Methinks he was factoring in the claim:

Which might mean Tracy or Walnut Creek?

According to the spreadsheet Cal Grand's buy ins are 200 and 500 max respective. I like to try to buy in deeper if possible.

Also 50 min drive to 101 and 20 min to Palace based on what gmaps says. Have yet to visit one yet.

Yeah, well, if you want true, deepstacked NL, you'll have to make compromises somewhere else.

Check Lucky Chances.

Just went to poke my head inside Palace. Parked about 2 blocks away in the residential area. Not sure if I wanna do that if I plan to play past 9pm, but decent amount of street parking a few blocks away.

Only one table of 1-2-2 running. 13 person board but the board person said all but 4 were call ins. Biggest stack was like 1.3k, some guys with 400-600 and a few with 150-300.

Seems kinda dark and danky. Not sure I want to visit to play late into the night.

Might head to 101 or Matrix tomorrow evening. I'm guessing for 2-3-5 both are about the same?

If you're going to make the drive to San Jose, then also try to get up north to Graton. Just not during rush hour tomorrow afternoon.
