Although Ive never been there, I've heard through the grapevine there getting close to getting busted based on the large turn out and the owner taking a piece of the action of the tournament. Not sure how much he's pulling out of the entrance fee but it is pissing people off.

It's the earliest I can get there, so hopefully they have a seat for me!

Anyone know how many spots are left for the big tourney next Sunday?

Does Potawatomi run 2/4 LHE, and if so, is it typical loose-passive play?

yes and it depends on the table, but mostly yes.

Is this mostly 3-5 regs?

not sure why you want to know any of this. it's pretty silly to ask such a general question as "how do 200 players play?" is it going to change your decision to enter?

it plays like any live tournament with a bad structure. deep enough in the first few levels, short stacks for the rest of the way. yes there are more 3/5 regs than in the weeklies b/c of the buy-in size. doesn't mean they're good players.

Not sure why you'd expect a bunch of good live tournament players to be in an area that doesn't run many tournaments. It's definitely +EV since you'll be playing a ton of cash players who have no concept of things like the bubble factor or chips changing value.

I have played in a dozen or so Sundays and I used to see people limp-call 1/3 to 1/2 of there stack pre-flop to fold on the flop. When they would flat I thought it was the obvious stop-n-go play but nope...they check/fold 90% the time. Plays like this will be commonplace in the tournament (along with other obvious bad plays) which makes it +EV with anyone with an ounce of MTT skill.

I think if you have ever played the $12 180 SnG's on stars I am sure the tourney wont shape up to be much dif skill wise except the structure, the Poto's structure is much worse.

they don't run 1/2NL anymore...last time I played there was back in july and I got into a 1/2NL game

I think you meant to ask that as a question? And the answer is they do every day there is at least 1 or more 1-2NLHE tables going.

That's what I thought IMO it would be bad for any casino to not run 1/2NL for the tourists given regs may not play it but 1/2 def seems to be the most popular among tourists

I'll be back down at Poto over winter break for the first time in a year or so. Any LHE action of like 8/16+?? Do they still play 30/60 on tuesdays, and 15/30 on fridays? Thanks!

big LHE doesn't go anymore. those games were mainly started and driven by a guy who moved away. there are a few limit guys left and i've heard of a 6/12 running sporadically, but nothing regular.

Does anyone know of the "game of the day" that they're supposed to be doing? Someone was talking about it Saturday but it was pretty sketch details... Each day of the week will be a different game starting at noon - like Tuesdays will be the $3/6 omaha hi-lo I said above. They said it was going to be $1/$2 PLO on Sundays but I forgot to see if it ran yesterday.

Brad,
I've heard on Mondays it's a round by round of PLO and PLO8. I assume the stake are 3/5 but I could be wrong. I work most Mondays so that's out of the question for me.

Heard they might knock out the back wall where the smoking room is and use that space to add a few more tables.

As of last night there was "102 to 103" sign ups for the Autumn Feast tournament.

A dealer said the poker room will be closed on Thanksgiving until 4pm. Not sure what time it closes that morning - I'll ask tonight.

So you can't call and sign up for the tournament via debt card? If I live 2 hrs. away I have to come pre register by Sat. morning? That wouldn't be the worst if I didn't have something to do Sat. early evening!!!

no, you can't sign up over the phone. but i don't think they're gonna fill up. maybe call them saturday after the deadline and see if they'll allow sign ups sunday morning. i'm sure you'll have to get there really early tho.
