I think it's reasonable to think there's a good chance that if there is more money in the building than other casinos overall, that the action will also be better, and there will definitely be an insane amount of money in the building. But also as someone mentioned, NY specifically has a few demographics and factors that combine money with a certain attitude that should lead to good action relative to other places:
- There are a ton of business travelers, living on an expense account, I think more likely to be gamblers than nits or studied players
- There is a gambling culture, sports betting is putting up insane numbers and nobody is really surprised
- NY is one of the centers of several industries that create young millionaires known for being crazy (wall street, fashion, art, real estate, etc)
- There's a lot of young drug dealers who gamble.
- Ton of wealthy tourists
- General NY attitudes of being aggressive and having a hustler mentality
Plenty other places have factors like this, and I'm not saying it's a guarantee the games are head and shoulders above Vegas, Macau, Florida, Texas, but it definitely has the ingredients to be something good. NY has all the factors at a higher magnitude than most places, especially just there being more and wealthier living there and traveling there. TSQ gets to capitalize on a lot of customers Empire and Resorts won't, TSQ can get investment bankers on long lunches, no tourist is going to drive to Ozone Park without good reason, etc.
