She said she opposes it because it's designated as "Park land".
But then she says "As an alternative, Ramos said she has drafted a bill that would allow Cohen to build a convention center and hotel — but not a casino — and more than double the proposed open green space."
What's the difference? The only way this could make sense is if she was paid off heavily to oppose the casino, so the state won't look so bad when they award it to whoever they already decided to award it to. We're just watching a dog and pony show at this point.
