Now if there hasn't been a wait, then it's to lower their dealer obligation. Either way, it's not surprising.
Well let's see....for cash games they collect rake per table and for tournaments the collect rake per player. Is it a coincidence that cash will continue 8-handed (= more tables generating rake) and tournaments 9-handed?

Hi. How are the limit holdem games on Saturdays? Do the games run all day? Anything bigger than 4-8, or is that the largest LHE game I can expect?

$4/8 basically runs 24/7
On occasion a $20/40 will kick off mid-week. Most of the action is NL & 5-card PLO

Adam, can you help us understand how you decide how many 1-3 vs 2-5 tables on a busy weekend night? More and more often I’m seeing 2-5 lists of 30+ waiting on a spot at 6 tables. Meanwhile 1-3 list is comparable or a bit longer but moves much more quickly with 22 tables. Adding a 7th or even 8th 2-5 table on these nights would go a long way.

im assuming 4:1 ratio, just like md live used to have when they had lots of 2/5 players.

Adam, maybe make 2/5 tables 9handed since you generate more take than 1/3?

Not asking for 9-handed. But you shouldn’t have to wait 2.5 hours for a seat at 2-5 (as I did Friday night). Called in to be put on the list, arrived an hour later and was 13th on list at that point, and it still took another 90 min+ to get a seat. Meanwhile I joined the 1-3 list when I arrived and cleared through a 40-person list in around an hour.

With a 30-person 2-5 list and 6 tables you have to turn over more than half the seats to play. It’s the equivalent of a 110-person 1-3 list with 22 tables going.

Yes to prioritizing 2/5. No to 9 handed.

Adam is the Bravo WL feature still in the works? Only asking because no one picked up the phone today after 5 attempts. I noticed 2/5 call-ins are allowed now (thanks) but hopefully this doesn't mean it was in lieu of Bravo WL.

So MGM allows certain players to do stuff that it doesnt allow 98% of the room to do?

This has LITERALLY been MGMNH operating policy since the first day the room opened.

Post the video or shutup about it, he and one other guy on Twitter seem to have a real problem with this. Otherwise, I've seen nothing about it.

If he posts it, he'll lose his leverage and potential $3m. Blackmail 101.

I expected no mask requirement tonight. Sadly it wasn’t the case. Seems masks still required in the casino.

If the county mandate is being lifted Monday why would you expect MGM would lift it Friday night?

Judging by the post I thought it had been lifted as of last Monday. Oops.

Apparently there might have been a shooting downstairs near the atrium. Alarms blaring nonstop. Be careful.

Edit: alarms off now. Someone said it was just fireworks. According to another source, a player’s wife downstairs said it was a shooting.
