For me its all the more reason to take Uber or Lyft over. Coming from VA though its another 3-4 gallons of gas round trip to MDL so no reason to go there just because of a parking fee.

But just playing poker for a couple hours isn't going to get free parking IMO.
One of the dealers said they will comp parking if you play. Who knows though. Also we will get upgraded status for playing poker eventually too, so getting pearl shouldn't be too difficult.

Right now none. Poker play currently doesn't count toward tier status.

Pearl is standard if you get the Mlife MasterCard.

No annual fee. So just apply for it, get it, get pearl, and shred the card. Free parking.

I don't want a debate in here about the pros/cons of getting the Mlife Mastercard with regard to your credit score. It's already being done in the recent posts here:

Dont think you should be opening 1/3 games in the high stakes section even if big games cant fill them. They should be reserved for the biggest games, preserve the exclusivity. Im up here now playing 10/25 and multiple Noirs have complained... never in a million years would a 1/3 game be running in Iveys room

Simple.
Next time tell a Shift Manager that you will pay double the time charge to keep the section to yourselves.

The Hilton http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/vir...THF/index.html by the King Street metro runs you $ 110 a night and is a 15 minutes ride to MGM on a NH2 bus. The bus runs from 5:30 AM to 1 AM or later and I took this bus last week and was super fast to MGM. The bus leaves right in front of the metro and takes 3 mins to get on 495 S and it drops you off right at the casino entrance at the MGM theater. When you enter the casino the poker room is right there and it'll save you parking fee in the future. This is a pretty safe area and got lots of shops and eateries. If you are driving, you can get to the MGM in 10 mins.

Johnny,

Are you getting more dealers to cope with today's crowds? Already showing 40+ waitlist for 2/5.

Thanks!

The word is next round of dealers at 3pm. Not sure if it's overall dealer shortage or just not realizing how busy today would be since everybody is off from work.

Johnny,

Any update or ETA on a kiosk to sign up and/or text messaging capability? I would think this would really lighten the load on the podium staff and cause less stragglers waiting to hear their name.

Anyone know what the waits like for 1-3?

A little surprised Bravo says there are only 27 tables going with now with @ 100 on the 1-3 list and 50+ on the 2-5 list. Day after Xmas, Federal Holiday? Hopefully thats wrong and they have most tables open by now.

I feel like this is a mistake that CT was making constantly after they opened. Bunch of us would drive out there on holidays to find the tables half open and 100s waiting to play.

Interesting - was checking Bravo to see what the MDL waits were and it says they are now running a 200-600 1-2 NL game.

One thing I just thought of... and don't recall seeing it mentioned before...

I can't wait to read the commentary on the restroom logistics after the first couple of breaks during a 15-20 table tournament.

I guess this is the casinos first experience seeing how busy they're going to be on a federal holiday

Obviously, federal Holidays are a huge deal here. Schedule has been adjusted.

cool that there's a 20/40 Limit going. More interested in the 10/20 Mixed game on the waiting list. Heading down in a little bit hopefully it gains some steam.

Newb question: For the 5 Card Omaha. Is the only difference you get an extra hole card?

Not just the holiday. Most government people and people in general will be off all week, partly because they have to use their leave before the end of the year. I'd expect crowds all week.
