When does that time period end?

Like, if we are attending a different event that ends at 3am and were gonna come by after, do we need a ticket ?

Yes. The event ends at 6AM. There is also a dress code enforced beginning at 5PM.

So if I get there before 5pm I don't need to get a ticket or adhere to a stricter dress code and can stay as long as I'd like?

Yes, but I wouldn't walk in at 4:59 in case there's a line...

Played in the room a couple of times and I loved it. A few issues with the huge lists but nothing to cry about, the casino is brand new and it opened up during holiday times.

Johnny if you have any info about the structure of the tournaments coming up, please keep us posted!
Thanks

Wow, $75 just to step in the casino for NYE? I guess that will help control crowds and parking.

I think they want to minimize the presence of the riff raff who might not appreciate the irony of proceeds going to PG police, who are notorious for their trigger finger attitude toward riff raff.

Confusingly, "upscale" attire has no definition AFAIK. Johnny, could you elaborate? Where does "upscale" lie relative to business casual, business, semi-formal, and formal? Tia.

Someone mentioned about a water fountain near the poker room.

Please indicate a reference to the location. Appreciate the info.

I don't know about a fountain, but there were bottles of water and coffee out on a buffet in the room (no waitress to tip) toward the back of the room to the left before the high roller tables...

"Upscale could be anything from board shorts and a Hawaiian t-shirt to a tuxedo. What matters is how much you over-paid for it.

"Huge lists"

Right now, the room has 15 games running. There are four tables of $1/$3 NL waiting to play and two tables of $2/$5 NL waiting to play.

I'm blown away at people saying how much money there is at 1/3 and suggesting the buy in gets reduced. Maybe in a few months when room traffic has leveled out and if 2/5 gets worse, but as of right now both 1/3 and 2/5 seem to be pretty healthy. Not sure why it would be changed.

I know there's one in the hallway where the bathrooms are in "The District" near the MGM Men's store. Water fountain and a water bottle filling station. Not sure if there's a closer one than that.

Martini comes with oregano floating in it. I'm like what is that, waitress says its what is in the olive juice. Firstly a martini should be strained if that is the case and secondly, get different olives.

The drink also arrived quite yellow and had no olives in it. Upon sipping it I was 85% it was olive oil and not olive juice, and there was 100% oregano floating in it.

Fortunately the waitress took it back and got me a beer. Gross.
OMG this.

I ordered one and what ever the put it in it. I ordered a vodka one, and it had floating things in it too. How you **** up a vodka martini straight up is beyond me, but I just told her to bring me a beer and she did. I think it's vermouth they put in it.

All were seated at noon, and about 70% of the names were
Duplicated. When we opened the 2 2/5 games, the 1/3 list was cut down to about 16 players....

Johnny,

I've been to the room three times now - absolutely love it. Things get better every time I come back. I really respect how responsive you've been towards posts in this thread.

Two thoughts:

1) Could a couple more TV's be added in the back of the room by the cage where the PLO usually runs? When you're seated facing out towards the casino floor, it is pretty hard to see any of the TV's. There is blank space on the right wall (the cage wall) and on the left wall as well.

2) While some of the newer dealers are still learning their craft, could they not be rotated through the PLO games? At least until all of the basic mechanics of dealing become automatic? I had one dealer who simply couldn't keep track of the pot during the flow of play - which obviously slowed the game down tremendously. She couldn't keep her rack straight, misdealt 4 times, pulled all the bets into the main pot (missing a side pot), miscalled several hands, etc. Brand new dealers need to learn the basics first. Putting them in PLO games is really asking too much.

Can you confirm this if you get the time? On Facebook MGM responded to this question with "Hi Nina, at 5pm you will be asked to present a ticket. Guests with tickets will be able to remain on the property at this time." That makes it sound like they will be removing guests without tickets...which seems crazy.

It's almost like you've done this before. Can't wait to get back today and finally see the room in action. Test run was nice, but I'm really looking forward to playing for real this time.

Yeah idk wtf it was but it was the second worst drink I've ever had in my life, only beaten by the first margarita I ever ordered that the bartender decided to pour salt in (I'm guessing based on the salt water taste, lol)
