i've been told they treat that as abandoned property not theft.

I understand how people shouldn't steal but how many phones are going to have to get stolen before people realize they shouldn't leave their ****ing phone there.

I'm more concerned with all the pee on the floor. Is it that hard to aim it into the urinal?

Me too, until I saw evidence of physical and medical problems of some patrons in the men's room. Then, you have some drunks who just don't care.

I was wondering the same, except about the weekday ones...mainly how long have they been taking to run. It starts at 11am, are they getting done by 2-3pm?

Well it's half hr blinds for the $200 one the other weeklys aren't really worth the time or money because if you're not stacked by fourth blind level it turns into a shove fest 20min blinds are almost equivalent to a turbo. And I'd say depending on the turnout Sundays would probly be done 4-5ish

The Sunday tourneys are usually the best. Typical turnout is anywhere from 70-120. They usually take 6-7 hours to complete. The $110 re entry during the week have been getting low turnouts. I think it's going to take some time for people to adjust to the new start time. Tuesday and Thursday 40-60 and the rest 20-30 entries total. I hope they make some changes to these new changes...

I agree Cosmic, the new tourney schedule/structures seem to of come out of no where without warning but I guess enough "regulars" were complaining to get them to change it. As for the start times, technically they're losing money for any tables that aren't cash so I'm sure the earlier start times had to do with wanting the tourneys to end sooner rather than take all night til 2-3am

Totally agree w/ the lack of a "stepping stone" PLO game.

I've voiced my opinion on it at the tables before and the "regs" just argue with me that 1/3 is too small and blah blah blah. Totally oblivious to how a $500 max game can be a bit overwhelming for someone who wants to test the waters

$1/3 is like a $2/5 at least the game out at harrahs Joliet. They let you but in for the biggest stack on the table and the action is pretty good not go mention there bad beat hasn't hit for almost 3yrs haha

Rake = Seat Fee? Educated guess on $200 b/I: $175 prizepool, $15 seat fee, $10 dealer tip add-on.

I haven't played in a tournament at the Shoe is a while, but $175+$15+10 would surprise me. I'd guess it'd be more like a 160+40+ any dealer appreciation add-on

Website is updated. Says the $200 gets you 6K in chips. $10 dealer add-on will get you additional 2K for a total of $210 B/I and 8K in chips.

Seat fee is probably more like $25-30 for this format. If it's $40....I won't waste my 2 1/2 hr drive to play.

Too many tournaments have that stupid add on. That's so dumb. Just set the price, and leave it at that. Everyone gets the add on. Dumb

Any 2/5 players ever play the 2/5 at Horsehoe Cleveland? I'm moving to Chicago from Cleveland and wonder how the quality/action of the 2/5 compare to each other.

For 1/2, how does the Wednesday night competition compare to Friday and Saturday nights? Despite being busy, I assume there are a higher percentage regs?

Much larger player pool in Chicago, still plenty of regs, but once you get a feel it will play much better than Cleveland

Well, there's different levels of suck. I'm a bad player, but in my limited play on Saturdays I've seen some really astounding stuff.

What amazes me is how good some of these guys are at handling/shuffling their chips which means they spend a lot of time at the tables. I mean, if they spent a little time reading poker books like Harrington on Cash Games they could easily improve their bleeding. I see a short stacks call suited connectors with large raises all the time. I also see a lot of mystifying "value bets" on the river with a middle pairs.

Again, I'm a bad player who is new to the game, but I'm at least trying to learn some fundamentals before spending serious time at the tables.

So yeah... I guess you have a point.

Still is 1/2 it's still easy and plenty of bad players on wed.. Just less tables. Utilize table selection if you're truly concerned.

And on the 2/5 question... I haven't played in Cleveland, but my initial reaction is it's easier here.

Overgeneralizing, there's more play in Chicago.
