Seems like he wouldn't get banned as long as he payed the $100 back. Same as when the cage overpays you.

I absolutely made several poor judgment calls and apologize for this incident.

I just went to the casino's website and the tournament schedule for December isn't posted. Has it been released?

It should be up this Monday or Tuesday. There are no changes except for the Charm City Holiday Extravaganza

I would watch out for this. Give cashier $200 for $120 tournament entry and she
pockets the change, sticks four $20s in the drawer and gives me the entry paper. I ask
for the change and she says I already got it. I empty my pockets and deny getting it. Now she is flustered as the $80 is sitting in the drawer but she doesnt want to admit that she was trying to steal from me. She says "well maybe I stuck it in the drawer, I don't know." I know she didn't give it to me, but she is alternately claiming that she did give it to me, while acknowledging that maybe she didn't. She could be confused but then again, maybe she is not confused as she seems more nervous. Since I refuse to go without my money, she calls up to security and they run the camera on the transaction and the woman after 25 minutes then hands me my $80.
No apology from anyone, no explanation, just oh here's your money. Nobody comes over to explain apologize, or to fire her. The way it all happened, didn't look like a mistake to me and I'm not conspiratorial. Best case scenario would raise question about why you put the dumbest people who can't count- and this is true at Md Live to an extent also, in the cage. At either casino you really can't take your eyes off your money for a second.

At least they actually looked at the tapes for you. I basically just got a huge "**** you you're lying."

Well, given your history/reputation, maybe there's a picture of you in their cage.

I kid.

Sorry, this confused me. There is $120 that goes to the house, and $80 due to you. She put your $80 into the drawer. Did she actually put $120 into her pocket, thus stealing from the house? (Since the $80 would have been the "change" due to you that is now in the drawer, and not, in fact, in any pocket.)

If she did actually put anything into her pocket, then I cannot fathom her not being fired, but they wouldn't necessarily do that on the floor in front of you.

Although they should have apologized, I am pretty confident the woman was not trying to steal from you. She probably made a mistake. Possibly the last five tournament entries paid $120 exactly and she forgot to give you the change.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Or in this case, a mistake.

I played in Thursday's 11:00 AM $80 buy in tournament. Total of 52 entries including re-entries. It was a fun tournament in a comfortable room and I recommend it to anyone looking for lower buy in tournaments. I was in the final six who chopped the prize money that was nice.

What are player opinions on the rule for moving stacks from a broken game to a new one?
Should they have to move their whole stack?

Wednesday I played for 7 hours (1/3) and had about $1200 when my table broke. The table I was moved to had 3 players with similar stacks. Feeling that I was at a disadvantage as the new guy, I tried to buy in for $300, but was told I had to come in with everything. I got up and asked Anthony, who initially told me I could buy in for $300, that was the rule on broken games. But, then another supervisor disagreed, and we looked up the written rule, which said I could not. So I racked up and went to Live, as it was only 8pm. Last night, my table broke, I had around $700, and again I racked up and went to Live.

I don't think this rule is having it's intended effect. I'm not only paying rake in another room, I'm also moving $ out of the Shoe into another room. And all while I'd really rather just be playing at the Shoe. But Anthony did say he would consider changing the rule (to what he thought it already was) if that's what players said they wanted. So please voice your opinions. Obviously, I'm only talking about broken games here.

I think the policy is fine as long as they enforce it consistently. If you're uncomfortable playing a big stack, then you did exactly what you should do: move to another game.

I would prefer to bring my entire stack when moving from a broken game. Giving people the option to do either seems fine.

All you would have to do is go to the cage, cash in your chips. go to the front and ask to be seated at a table. Broken games or otherwise no one can stop you from cashing out and then deciding a minute later you don't want to leave and you want to play again.

Typically you'd have to wait an hour to cash out then come back in. That's the case that I've encountered in FL card rooms that I play in.
