Anyone know whether the pink game is going to go again tomorrow?

My 3/6 table yesterday had a fight, 2 minor bad beats, and 4 times quads were hit in a matter of 4 hours. The room looks nice but is run terrible. No chip runners. Inexperienced dealers. Not enough floor people. Slow waitresses. It might be due to a staffing issue which I can understand.

If you want to use a cheque they don't charge anything. It is a one time setup and then you just need to show your ID to use the service.

No limit on the withdrawal as long as you have a balance.

I wonder if this is a weird Maryland law - I saw the same thing at Rocky Gap and wondered what that was all about.

Are you talking about establishing credit and the ability to pay off the markers, or actually using checks that they will withdrawal from the bank?

Actual check that would be withdrawn from your Bank. It is the same as using the ATM without the fee. The first time they would void an actual check, from next time your just show your ID to withdraw.

He's not talking about a credit line or marker. This is simply like using your checking account for a withdrawal at the cage. Bring them your ID and a blank check, they will put you in the system. Then whenever you want to withdraw from your checking account just bring your ID and tell them the amount. It will act as an e-check withdrawal and will debit the amount from your bank account.

There are no fees

Anyone play the pink game last night? Looked like it went in Bravo - the question is did it go as pure Holdem, or did it "mix" again?

It seems that half the people that show up for it want to play the mix, so I'm wondering if it'll ever go as just holdem? I enjoy playing the mix occasionally, but the snails-pace of the stud games has me occasionally just wanting to crank some holdem.

It went and was h.o.e. I'd play just holdem or holdem and stud8 happily. It's Omaha I'd get rid of. Plus, while your certainly right that stud 8 hands take longer and it can be a drag waiting for next hand when you''re out, I'd argue that they are much more fun and exciting to play: when you''ve got a hand that could go either way or scoop in an aggressively played multiway pot, you'd never describe the action as "snail paced" ... in my experience it is one of the most exhilarating poker experiences . You're right that hands take longer, but , when you're in it, that's actually a good thing!

What the last couple of posts prove is that everyone has personal preferences when it comes to mixed games. (Mine would be 2 rounds H, 2 rounds O, one round E.)

The best thing you can do for niche games like pink is play what keeps the most players at the table. Given the poker history of the region, that's likely to be HOE or maybe even OE.

Bit of a frustration on Monday in the triple blind tournament.

We were down to 3 tables and we were out of balance - 7, 9 and 10 (although shortly it became 7, 9 and 9).

I tried to make the point to the floor that we should be 8,9,9 (or 8,8,9), but floor dismissed me out of hand saying that "it didn't make any difference".

Unfortunately, it DOES make a difference because when you're on the short handed table the blinds are coming around more often (and in a 3 blind game that's even more significant) so the short handed table ends up having more pressure put on it than the full table. With one table at 7 and the other at 10 the 7 handed table players are getting hit by the blinds 3/7 hands vs 3/10 which is 12% more often.

It was an amicable enough discussion with the floor, but it was quite frustrating to hear the concern dismissed so out of hand.

I doubt anyone cares, but I have ended my boycott of HSB.

The 1/3 action and pink chip games (played HOE on Wednesday with 80%md live dealers/floors) have so much more loose action than any table I've played at md live.

I still don't love the way it's run (registration people are rude most if the time, dealers don't all announce bets, many things said ITT as well etc.)

Also, last Wednesday I bought a rack of pinks for HOE, and the cashier literally just handed me a rack without checking to make sure all the stacks were full. Luckily, I did check (so paranoid from previous experience) and it was one short. Cashier promptly made it right, but these little details mean a lot.

I also "got even" with them (if you aren't familiar, I had $100 in red chips stolen from me in the poker room on 8/28) and its no doubt due to their lax security.

Here's what happened: I walked into the poker room and asked politely to be regged for 1/3 and 2/2 PLO (interest). I was directed to table 965 (an exaggeration, which as you may know is because the tables are marked poorly) and sat down, noticing the floor guy was at the table, and the players were seemingly excited over something

They had just hit the royal ($500 for winner and $100 per person table share). Long story short, I sat down nonchalantly, gave the floor guy my card and ended up getting paid 15 minutes later. No one at the table snitched on me and the dealer/ floor were completely oblivious.

Funny story; it was the same floor person who I initially complained to when my money was stolen. Not Anthony Chester, who I haven't seen since my money was stolen (and has since apologized and I apologized as well).

I know md live checks cameras before paying royal, so I'm glad I was at the shoe where it's pretty obvious their cameras don't get used.

Just a few stories, has anyone had a similar experience ?

Stick it to the man!

Hey at least the boycott is over and we can all go back to stealing chips carelessly left around the room.

I'll agree on the loose action in the pink game. It's the bomb.

1/3 NL and 2/2 PLO and pink chip are all action packed every time I've gone. No matter how much more I like how mdl is run, or that it's twice the time to get to the shoe, it's def worth it to play at shoe

Hopefully Anthony reads this. You do realize who that $ belongs to?

Hah no kidding. Was pretty stupid of him to post that story seeing how Anthony knows who he is due to the prior incident.

So, you're admitting that you're just as dishonest, if not more, than the person who stole your chips. You may have ended your ban on HSB, but when HSB starts their ban on you, don't cry foul.
