they're just emptying their warehouse of excess gifts:
• Decanters
• Panini Press
• Travel Organizer
• Corkscrew
• Drill Set
• Rock Glasses

earn 100 Tier Credits on your favorite slot machine, play one hour on table games, or 150 Tier Credits playing video poker, and we'll give you a second gift.

Wonder if that 1hr includes poker?
if not, then it'll be not worth it to me to get the 2nd gift.
-> now that poker only gives 17tc/hr instead of 50tc, that's 6hrs for 100tc

AA suited is correct. They're running out of promo chips according to cage. All chips have to be in the highest denomination. Ie if you receive $100 promo chip voucher you can't get 4 $25 chips. Has to be a single chip

I don't buy that excuse. How can they be running out of promo chips? The promo chip goes into the drop box whether you win or lose, correct? And the boxes are picked up multiple times a day. Therefore they should be putting the same chips back into circulation for all the other players who qualify for the chips.

...unless they were just too stupid to order a sufficient quantity of promo chips in the first place for the demand they should be well aware of by now.

I wonder what % of promo chips are being hoarded.

Many people hold onto the chips for a long while until they get a certain amount etc. I don't buy it either and I'd much rather they break down chips into the customers preferred denominations but foresight isn't what they're known for at horseshoe Baltimore

To this day I've yet to figure out how to get offers/free stuff here. I'm on TR, signed up for email promotions, I'm a diamond, but nothing.

Oh well. Not that most of the crap they give out is worth anything, but it'd be nice to be on the "in" crowd.

Talk to a host. Explain that with your play and tier status you should at least be getting weekly promo chips and gifts. Worst case scenario they say no and you're back where you started

What is the point in hoarding them? I don't understand any logical reason to do so.

Mostly poker with occasional blackjack or let-it-ride when I needed to blow off some steam or was waiting for a table.

Never slots.

you should at least get the monthly diamond gift that EVERY diamond gets.
as for how to get promos, I guess play enuf to get bonus tc's?
ie: at least 500tc/day a couple of times a month

how do u get a host?

I asked and was told my play wasn't high enuf to warrant one.
I was diamond Aspirations 1 at the time, mostly from poker + 50% tc bonus promo from jan-march 2015.
10hr stints = 500tc + 125tc bonus

Instead of playing one hand of blackjack every time I get a promo chip, it makes sense to save them up and just sit down, relax, and play for 30 min or something using a few hundred worth. Also, there's no risk of having to reach in my pocket and pull out cash if I need to split and/or double down. The pits are for suckers and they're trying to get us there as often as possible and pull out our own money.

Before the TC was adjusted, I might have been able to do a 500tc day once a month. Now that we've been "fixed", there's no chance in hell.

I do have a day job after all.

Fair enough. I don't typically go to a casino to play anything other than poker outside of special events like bachelor parties. If I was getting $100 or 4x $25 promo chips regularly, I'd just quickly play them and move on. To each his own, I guess.

if you're not going to enjoy the table game, then just goto the baccarat table and bet banker each time you get a chip.

you don't need to know how to play the game.
you have NO options.
dealer auto hits/stands for you depending on cards dealt.
if he pushes chips your way, you won. else you lose.

only 1% house edge. (bj is .4% house edge)

I was told today that you can break down promo chips any day but Friday and Saturday.

Edit...and did.

The link doesn't say free food. The link says free parking and admission. I have no idea why he said free food, but maybe he has a secret source!

I've asked twice at Total Rewards desk if food truck food will be free, and nobody at the desk had even heard of the promotion! Would be kind of crummy to be invited to a special event and have to pay for food ??

Not sure why it is considered crummy to expect people to pay for food... Anyway I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that the casino will be giving away free food from the local food trucks

food trucks are normally pretty pricey arnt they? like $20 plates? My gut feeling is that there will not be free food. Just a meeting of local trucks in a cool setting sponsored by the shoe.
