Or they can't play at MDL because they work there or got thrown out

While I agree that customer service does play a large part in the player experience (especially cash) convenience and player pool also play a large part (yes player pool and customer are interlinked, and if the forum is to be believed, are in a vicious cycle of destruction).
The player pool is naturally going to deteriorate as weaker players drop out of the local poker economy. So I wonder how much is due to poor customer service and how
much is due to the later. I guess I will have to come up and play a session to see how much it has dropped off...

It can't be worse than the Rio pavilion (cash games) during the WSOP?

Also don't think that MGMNH will hurt HSB too much (long-term) as only full-time reg pros are going to travel over an hour away to face better competition (2-5 and up). Every reg will make a trip or two down to check out the room but I doubt many will stick long-term.

What is with all the hate for this casino? Planning a bachelor party and was going to hit this up next month. Should we avoid at all costs? Didn't expect to see this negativity.

Understand that the "hate" (constructive criticism) for HB is due to having multiple competitors within an hour of it and the room not being run as well as some of those competitors. If we were in a less competitive market, we'd have less complaints because we wouldn't have the gold standard (Maryland Live) for comparison.

If the bachelor party absolutely MUST be in downtown Baltimore, then you'll end up at HB if people like to gamble because that's where the legal gambling is in downtown Baltimore.

Domestically, I'd strongly recommend New Orleans, Austin, or Las Vegas for the bachelor party. And if you're focused on gambling and can't get to Vegas, you might even consider AC. PM me if you need more info w/r/t those other cities.

Baltimore on a weekend is pretty fun, and HSB is the GTO bachelor party move 🙄(unless your party are huge poker players) for a bachelor party starting in B-more.

They were resistant to starting pink chip game mix. You can certainly try and I'll be rooting for you (and joining the list if I'm there), but I'm not betting on them starting it.

I will not waste another Thursday evening going there, having 10 names on the list, waiting & pleading with the floor, and then going home in frustration.

Good luck... maybe mgmt has changed their minds since a few months back.

Thanks. Actually did a bachelor party in Vegas in April with another friend. I'm not the one in control of decision making with this one so I'm just along for the ride.

Just so I'm clear- the management of the poker room has consistently made bad decisions in the operation of the venue that has turned off players with options?

On a random Friday or Saturday night am I going to be able to get into a 1/2 or 2/5 table without an egregious wait?

Played a all night session Friday night. Ended up at a short handed table and got everyone to agree to a 6$ straddle. The dealer's acted like it was mandatory and the table was super fun. Even was the floor was helpful. Honestly the most fun I've ever had in the room.

You will be fine, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Rarely is there any wait at all and even more rarely is it longer than 10 minutes.

While the room may be on an decline recently, it is still a great room compared to many. This thread would have you think the room is closed and boarded up

Overhead a cashier tell someone getting promo chips that he has to give him the largest denomination chips.
He can't break them down anymore.

How quickly did that list of 15 run through? ~6pm seems a lot like a small rush because everyone just got off work
