No way you need to go to Hollywood. Cash games should be back to normal now.

Cash was going by 5:30. Let me just say this:

As much as Hollywood deserves huge "dislikes" for lack of preparation for the tournament, the floor deserves a huge, huge, HUGE kudos for how quickly they got games going once they had dealers. Floor worked their asses off to open as much as possible.

Games were so sick with action. People were constantly stacking off with draws almost every hand at 1-2. Sick.

i busted in the tourny on a Qx 10s 3x flop with 1010 against AsKs in like the second level, as he hit the running flush cards, should ahd 60k at the first break, but instead busted, played 2-5 and it was alright, but everyone in my 2-5 table was waiting to play 5-10, they finally got a second 5-10 table opened up, and i sat for 3 hands, then got moved to teh main 5-10 game, was pretty good action, they ahd it where they normally are playing 3-6 limit though, i wasnt really able to capitalize on some things and made a meager 250, guy next to me cashed out for well over 10k though, not sure how much he was in for

all the people who are branded with the FTP or stars apparel make me LOL harder than anything, thats like wearing a sign that says "well, im not really good at poker, but i try really hard to fit in by wearing some dumb shirt that cost me money in rakeback or through lack of bonus that i coulda cleared" i dont understand why people brand themselves mainly.

Wow, last night was crazy. I've never seen so much action in the room, including during the WPT. I worried with the cash games starting late it wouldn't be that good but once they got going it was great. They had two 5/10 NL's, two 1/3/5 PLO's, three 2/5 NL's and a ton of 1/3 NL. I'll tip my hat to the floor as well, it was an absolute madhouse down there and they did a good job of keeping tables full and managing all the must moves.

I don't think it's going to have much effect. Last night there were well over a dozen 1/3 tables but only 3 1/2 tables. If anything I think it will help a little as the people who buy in short for 100 are more likely to play 1/2, meaning they'll be more people at 1/3 buying in for 200 or 300 (or even 400 or 500 now). I'd rather have 9 people with 300 in front of them who are looking to gamble than a bunch of people with 100 who are waiting for Aces or Kings.

I'd still rather play with the complete fish that sometimes were at the 1/3 tables who now may play the 1/2. Also, I hope it doesn't make the 2/5 harder to get off on normal days leaving those players to stay in the 1/3.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out after the tourney is over.

1-3-5NL will never go. I don't think it even ran last night. 5-10NL had 2 tables, but on a daily basis, 1-3-5NL will never run. I've noticed already that many decent 1-3 players have dropped to 1-2...have seen some sick action. The 3 times I've played 1-2, I recognized a total of 3 people at my table that normally play 1-3. Lots of new faces at 1-2

If they devote the tables to 1-2, I think it will make 1-3 significantly more difficult of a game, but that's just my .02.

only reason 1-3-5 hasnt been running is becuase the 5-10 has no max buyin, thats why we all had ~4k on the table. Richard already has said to me and a floor guy he is going to be down anytime he can if they have the 1-3-5 with no max buyin. Obviously anytime Richard is in a game it will fill up.

They had 3 tables of 2-5 going too, what was wierd is that they had the biggest game in the room down on the lower level where they usually play 3-6 limit, i thought that was funny.

1-3-5 will run on fridays and saturdays when they dont have a 5-10 with no max buyin running, there was enough people on the list for it this time, but everyone was playing 5-10 already.

I already know Andy, myself and Adam are going to play 5-10 or 1-3-5 anytime they spread it, and im sure some older guys will play as well.

I'm glad to hear that...not because I can play in it, but becaue it's nice to see bigger games making their way to Hollywood.

If you guys all play 5-10 already, why play 1-3-5?

My guess is that there will be a lot of 1-3 players taking shots, and the action will be great.

Yeah it will be intresting to see how this all shakes out after the tournament's over and things die back down. It would be great if we could get a regular 5/10 or 1/3/5 NL game AND a regular PLO game. My guess though is that they're won't be enough regulars to sustain both games and it will become a race to see which game gets off first.

Thinking about going down tonight to play some, probably 1-3 or 1-2. With the tournament series going on will the action still be good tonight or will it be slim pickins?

I'm not sure, I haven't been down on a Sunday in a while. The tournies today were the ladies event and the 1k NL, I don't expect either of them to get a huge field. On the other hand the action was still great last night so I'd expect there to be some carry over to today.

Wow is all I got to say. I may never play 1/3 again at Hollywood. Sat down at a 1/2 game just to see how it was and it took everything I had to not literally LOL at the play that was going on. I mean these players are just so terrible I didnt know these people existed. Didnt hurt that I won 555 in about 2 hours either.

Was some decent action going on tonight. 2 guys were playing heads up in what one dealer thought was a 10/25NL game. I was right behind one of the guys at the cage who bought it for what looked to be 5k. By time I left there were about 7 players or so in that game. This tournament series has really brought in some big games at hollywood. A plo game was up and running as well.

A guy here in Columbus that deals at our poker room made the final table in that big deep stack tourny. The players made a deal and choped it. Each player getting around 17k.

I was covering that event. 956 runners from 19 states including a bus load of Michigan players. TK has a heck of an operation going there. The IPSC is running about 40% over projected attendance.
I hope they blow the doors off with their next WPT. I really hate hearing the vegas pros talk about playing a $10K in a cornfield.

Didn't know Buckeye Club was active. Their web site seems out of date.

When do they run cash games?

I live in Athens Ohio, so a little closer to Pickerington.

Thx

Hi folks,

Anyone know if Hollywood spreads 5-10 Limit games? Is there much demand for limit hold'em above 3-6 there?

1/2 NL Mon-Fri starts by 1 PM, weekends between 1 and 4 PM depending on that day's tourney. Usually one table runs through the night, 2-3 cash tables during the evening with a 'must move' to the main table.

The only limit game any more is 3-6. They've tried everything they can think of to get a bigger game going but the support just isn't there. They went so far as to offer a $2 rake on limit games 10-20 and higher. It went like 2 or 3 times then it fizzled out. They used to get 5-10 sporadically but I haven't seen that go for a while.

Yes both games usually run on the weekends and with the tournament going on I'd be shocked if they weren't going.
