I'm looking to start a $8-$16 mixed game with a $12-$24 half kill at the Isle. I'm thinking now that the WSOP is ending soon that Fridays would be a good day to try and get it going. Perhaps today or next week?

I'm going to try and speak to Kenny Lambert soon about it and I know how to promote it as I did years ago with O8. We only need 6-7 hardcore mixed players to keep a full table going.

See this link of 10 mixed games being played in La$ Vega$ -- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rbo...ew?usp=sharing
Take out 4 games from the photo and I'm thinking we will play 6 games and 6 hands of each. We can always add more games but want to keep it simple at first.

I know this will be be difficult to start and keep going but now that the FL State Poker tournament has started perhaps we can get it going soon.

Your thoughts?

Teddy

Sundays in general are better. I was traveling and do have some more upcoming travel so the next few weeks will be tough in general. 7/15 I will be around, then not available on 7/22 or 7/29. Anytime you try to get the game going let me know and if i am around I will show up.

Does the Isle Poker Manager/TD read this thread? If so few recommendations:
For your multi flight tournaments schedule Day 2 for Sunday not Monday. It makes it hard for us Weekend Warriors to play these events, Day 2 (unless something has changed) comes back right before the money bubble, hard to justify using a PTO day for not being in the money or maybe a 3 figure score.

I used to play more of your events but haven't in quite some time with Day 2s being on Monday I can't really justify using a PTO day.

2nd - I can't find a simple list of all the events on your website, it only has the "July Tournament Calendar" which is quite unfriendly visually. https://www.islepompanopark.com/gaming/poker-room also nowhere on your site can I find detailed structure sheets. There is a big banner on the top of the above link for the FLSPC which I assumed would be a link to schedule and structures, but it's not, it's just an image.

I dont play tournaments but I did hear 2 other guys complaining about day 2 being on a Monday and saying they cant play on Monday.

I know guys who wont play poker on Sunday during football season but at least when its not football season it seems like more people would play tournies if day 2 was on Sunday.

Not every Day 2 at the Isle is on a Monday ... some are on Sundays ... and some are on other days of the week. I know this weekend's coming $360 MTT does have a Monday Day 2.

Agreed, and in the past lots of them were on Sunday, there were a few last month that had day 2 Sunday. Seems like this series though all the multi flight MTTS went to Monday.
Last weeks 175, next week's 360, the 1100 the following week. Also the Main as well, but i have less issue with the main following this format.

Just posting feedback that i think it is better when they have day 2 on sunday for us working stiffs.

I'll add another recommendation which is becoming popular in several rooms and that is the Big Blind Ante. It speeds the game up IMMENSELY as the dealer does not have to gather the antes from each player, distribute change, wake players up from their phones who forgot to post their ante, etc. The big simply posts the ante along with their big. Simple and fast.

I think the Isle is incorporating this into one or two tourneys a month. This does seem to be the future of poker.

Let's try for this Sunday at noon. I'll work on getting a full table of 6-7 players. Rubixxcube, please email me at poker@goodbear.com to confirm. Anybody else interested, please email me as well. By Sunday morning we shall know if the game is going to go prior to us going their. I will coordinate prior to us showing up via text messaging/phone.

I spoke with Poker Room Director Ken Lambert yesterday. "$4 rake max and no jackpot".

Photo of games they play at the Wynn:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ag6EydQC88Adgt8g5vzPF6pJ4Ce4VQ

I think 6-7 of these games to start with 6-7 hands (depends on how many players are in the hand) of each game* and max 7 players per table.

Take out the following games, leaving 7 games for us to play from the photo:
Razzduecy 2-7
7 Card Stud Hi Low - no qualifier
Badeucey 2-7
Crazy Pineapple 8 or better
Badugi

*Let me know here if any of the games we will play are foreign and I will explain them.

Limits: $8-$16 w/half kill ($12-$24), $120 qualifies for 1/2 kill. The kill even in the super stud games.

Who is in for this Sunday around noon? Email (poker@goodbear.com) or text message (954-708-6792) me before the end of the day tomorrow Saturday 7/28/2018 so I can notify the Isle and so they will have time to make up the game plaques.

Is Isle not updating on Bravo?

Also, no PBKC on Bravo either?

How is the M-F action in these rooms?

I've been on a 2 year hiatus from Poker (got married) and lately have been getting the itch to start playing again. I live in between both rooms and like to scope games out before a drive.

Thanks for breaking it down. I've always heard good things about PBKC. I used to spend most of my playing time between Magic City and Hard Rock so I'm excited to see how the games are this way.

Isle must not have been updating the tables today.

Are there ever any PLO or Hi Lo games?

During snowbird season they had one or sometimes two 1/2 PLO games running. Lately it hasnt run hardly at all, although people have been getting a decent interest list again so I guess interest is picking back up.

They spread 8/16 OE most every day. I think that's Hi/Lo but Ive never played it and could be wrong.

The action at PBKC will be more like HR and Magic City, but IMO, The Isle is a much nicer and better run room. It all depends what youre looking for.

Maybe there's hope for a PLO game running on the weekends. Are you strictly a NLHE player yourself?

Also, OE is a Stud/Omaha Hi/Lo split. Not really a stud fan but that's good to know.

I am very interested to check out the Isle (nitty or not) as I probably haven't set foot in there since 2014 or so. I do enjoy a well run room. Probably just going to sit at 1/2NL for a bit until I get comfortable with my game again.

Action has been better this summer than last summer. Although last summer was horrifically bad so that's not saying all that much.

No PLO at all the last several months. Hopefully the snowbirds arrive soon.

I don't follow the poker legislative thread on 2+2 that closely and I am guessing neither do most FL poker players. I wanted to share this email I got today from the poker alliance about referendum vote that is on the FL ballot Nov 6.

"As a poker enthusiast, you care about the future of our game. That is why I am letting you know about a very troubling ballot referendum in Florida that is gaining momentum and needs to be stopped. Before you read any further, I am not asking you for money, but the Florida poker community is asking for your help.

Do you have any friends or family in the state of Florida? If yes, then please forward this email, pick up the phone or send a text and tell them to VOTE NO on Amendment 3.

Amendment 3 will make it very difficult -- if not impossible -- to expand gaming opportunities in Florida. If Amendment 3 passes it means there will be no new poker rooms, no chance to add new games at existing cardrooms, and, it forecloses on the opportunity for Florida to legalize internet poker and sports betting. This is information your Florida connections need to know. Please take a minute to share this special web page: https://www.pokeralliance.com/vote-no-on-3/

Your help is important because if we succeed in defeating this amendment in Florida, we can duplicate this grassroots effort across the country to promote laws that expand access to poker.

Early voting has already started in Florida, so it’s very important that tell your friends and family in the Sunshine State to VOTE NO on Amendment 3. Florida’s poker community is grateful for your help!

Proud to Play,

Mark Brenner, President
Poker Alliance

P.S. Please remember to forward this email, call or text your connections in Florida to let them know to vote NO on Amendment 3."

Clifs - If you like poker vote NO on amendment 3
