Would be great, start rewarding people who want to play late.

The only reason people play Omaha is to hit the high hand.When 12:15 came the
game died. Last Fri, and Sat. the game was over by 1:00.
Having are higher stake game will bring people out , who want to play Omaha.

Yep. I've tried and failed to get a 6/12 or 8/16 going several times in the past couple of years. The best I've been able to do is to get people to say they will play at a certain day and time but then they don't show up.

If Stan & the powers that be WANTED that game to run they'd do a special promo for it. Either little/no rake (lol) or double comps. That would get people's attention. But I just don't think there's enough demand for it. I'm always interested in playing ... when there's an open seat and a long list for NL.

Nice to see these step satellites are getting a decent turn out.

Well Stan has announced that there will be alternating PLO8 and PLO MTTs at the Isle on Saturday nights starting in August. Perhaps that will stir some interest.

2 weeks ago when the high hand ended, I suggested that we move to 6-12 with time rake (which gets rid of the jackpot drop). One of the mouth-breathers suggested that instead I just pay him $2 every 10 minutes. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the O8 players at the Isle are not very smart.

Seeing as the 10/20 game like almost never runs anymore, I cant imagine that the 6-12 or 8-16 would take off. Maybe in the winter months.

I'm not so sure a $7 per half-hour time rake is any good here, what with all the slowrolling players and the slow dealers who are constantly monkeying around with their banks instead of dealing hands. That's epidemic in this room.

I agree, the dealers are too busy talking their friends at the table.

Omaha seems to get the worst dealers, dividing the pot seems to always be

a problem. They are always in a hurry to get it right.

If the 6-12 or 8-16 is promoted they will come to play.

When I played the 4-8 after the HORSE tournament, my first visit to the room, the dealer was trying to teach his friend how to play Omaha, and actually asked him to call out the best possible hi and lo while play was still going. (It is possible that one of the elderly players actually might not have been aware of this info. But even if the info was obvious still outrageous). Once all cards were turned over he moved the cards around to show him what the hands were. The play was excruciatingly slow, and I had enough of it early.

At least the dealer moved the cards, most dealers read the hands where the player is seated. They then muck the winning hands before they are paid.
You have ask to see the winning hand, and the dealer has to work for his tip.
They get pissed when you demand to see the winning hand. They miss call the hand , and think nothing of it. When they are corrected , they get pissed.

Cannot wait to see how these dealers will get through a pot limit tournament?
