+1 to the comments on 1/3 playing much differently between Rivers and GVC. The average Rivers 1/3 plays MUCH bigger.

As far as the basement .. WSOPc is scheduled to return in early April and if the casino isn't staffed to open 'all' the tables on a regular basis then why put the labor into a double conversion of that gaming space?

While some patrons like that have 'their' table I think casinos want the excitement squeezed into a smaller area where it can feed other patrons to participate. GL

Played 1/3 at GVC yesterday 1/6 from 10a-5pm. It was full of horrendous play. I lost a buyin wiithn the first hour. Raising to $15 UTG and getting 4-5 callers is not uncommon. I won a $750 pot where I flopped a full house and on the turn both players made their flush.

The way poker is being played right now there's no need for higher stakes! It can be nerve wracking since you are 'supposed' to play tighter the looser the table is playing while making adjustments to your bet sizing in an attempt to get HU. But it really is the wild wild west pretty much everywhere I hear stories from. GL

Has anyone played the $175 Sunday tournament here, is there usually a decent turnout?

Wow they keep changing the tournament schedule, eh? It's never the same when I look from month to month.

Am here now. Such a meh run room (though totally adequate) but the play is amazingly bad for 2023 and you can call in.

If it was 20m closer to city would be lovely.

Anyone have a picture of the Sunday $250 structure sheet or know where it can be found online? Their website is lame.

This has the basics but I'm looking for the detailed blinds and antes each level: https://www.pokeratlas.com/poker-tou...ker-tournament

Sometimes, but not as frequently as Rivers or Horseshoe. Try Horseshoe Hammond just over the border in IN - I mentioned in Rivers thread.

Thanks. Seemed like a lot of people saying that Horseshoe is dying or dead. Somehow GVC, Rivers, and Horseshoe all seem about an hour from Joliet. According to Bravo, Rivers is the only one that has anything higher than 1/2 PLO going. Gonna make a game time decision in a couple hours - might have to wait for Rivers if the games are that much better.

You said you wanted 500 buy in? that's 1-2 / 2-2 PLO as it's a $5 bring in, $5-5 plays huge.

What's the deal with the 1/2 PLO/PLO8 feature game on Wednesdays?

A little late to the party for Phull .. but you'll find all the action you want/need at Rivers 1/2 PLO. The 5/5 plays very big and pays $22/hour time rake to boot. You'll just need to be patient if you're down the list.

I've been hearing that the PLO at 'Shoe is pretty weak as well .. and that you may run into a table full of short stacks at times, which in general means cash-n-dashers. GL

You'd be better off calling the poker room for that information.

One thing I can just about guarantee is that it wont be lammers since WSOP itself has done away with lammers. My guess it that you will not have a cash option either, but every casino has their own twist on these promos/events.

Buddy of mine won a seat from a poker site last year and it was transferrable. He went to Vegas with every intention on selling it and ended up playing but not cashing. GL

Do you have to call at 9am to get a seat and how long usually before the first seat opens up?
