I'll play 5/10NL and 2/5PLO mixed. If you need people to sign up for it, find me. I'll be at the 2/5 tables. Also, thinking of dabbling in 5/10 a little now and then. Maybe today.

EDIT: A 10/25 + 5/10PLO is too rich for my blood.

Also be prepared to get yelled at/eyes rolled when you raise preflop with AK as it's a sin to raise with anything preflop including AA. GL
This is so true... but punish them for their bad play, raise preflop with your good hands but definately be prepared to drop AK etc when you don't hit as you'll get at least 4 callers who have to hit the flop somehow if you don't! Hoping I can sneak out tonight for the bruins game and mindless 2/4 there myself.

5/10+ plo is a disaster without being able to run it twice

Thursday night we were trying to play a 2/5NL and 1/2 PLO mixed game and the floor told us that we could not due to CT gaming laws. Didn't make sense to me but something along the lines of cannot have a mixed game at the same limits of regular games
I don't know if it was floor bull**** or just a misunderstanding

the law is actually the limits have to be the same

There's no law other then they way Foxwoods wants it. Mohegan ran the mixed limits a couple times

I really don't think it is going to have a dramatic effect at all in the long run. It's still an effort to get to the casino for one and 600 dollars for one tourney isn't exactly a drop in the bucket for a lot of people.

Big difference between grabbing a 12 pack on the way home from work and firing up two or three ten dollar tournies on Stars and making an hour and a half drive to Foxwoods with a grand I am prepared to lose/spend.

Not really sure why people think casinos are going to be overflowing with people fiending for poker.

I am semi recovered from this week's trip so I will give an update.

First with the bad....

Poker. I ran bad. Was 1 outted 3xs, I believe and 2-3 outted when the money went in on flop, more times that I wish to remember. Played 2 sessions of 1/2(one drunken) and one so IWSJ and I could play at the same table. Won both of thise sessions due to mad bluffing.

Now on to the good...
IWSJ made this week bearable for me. I am a picky person. Most that have spent more than 2 hours with me, know this. I could not sleep in that uncomfortable Pequot room. Pat surprised me with 2 nights at MGM. We then went to play my only winning 2/5 session, this week, together. Fun. That night we then went to Burke(craftsteak was closed) with Mad Maniac. Good meal.
IWSJ also gave me Seinfeld tickets and took Matt and I to Burke for dinner on Friday. Seinfeld was funny as hell and gave me a 3 hour reprieve from the torment that I had been experiencing since Wednesday. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

How was the room tonight?

Can't wait for Monday. Getting the drinking out of the way tonight in cambridge, and a good day of rest day tomorrow.

Played the 600 and was my king high flush ran into an ace high flush, and my flopped ace was beaten by a set on the turn to knock me out. Was possibly my poorest performance in a mega tournament.

It was good depending on the table I guess. Got my 2-5 seat without much wait. Was 10 tables then 9 then open seating. Called like 20 minutes earlier to get on the list for 2-5,5-10. It was open seating later for 2-5, should have stayed there.
