Speaking of Windsor, has anyone ever played in the Nothing to Lose tourney they are running this weekend? If anyone plays Friday please post details. I'm thinking about playing Saturday but I'm not sure if it's worth my time.

if i had any kind of winnings saved up right now i'd be looking into it..

a couple of other people in here have asked the same thing you did and got no responses.

edit: alright i was curious, here are the tournament details... structure looks good, but for a grand i'd like it to be even better.

It was good. Certainly opened my appetite. Was not sure how it would go with the martini, so I rinsed after taking it down.

I'd say that DET -6.5 is the lock of my weekend if I hadn't gotten NYG -1.5.

The game is currently 24-10 and Lions should really be up like 45-3. If they manage to lose this one I don't think I will watch another game they play the rest of the year.

I get QQ the second hand I'm dealt, raise to $10 from EP, and everyone folds. Eventually I raise enough hands in a row, all to $10, that my PF raises start getting called fairly liberally.
This is one of the biggest differences I've noticed between playing at MCC and MGM. MGM seems like there are a lot more people willing to call $12 preflop, at every table, all the time.

I bet $20 and get two callers again. $92 in the pot and the turn is an off suit 4. I check, and everyone else checks behind. I probably need to fire the turn with my draw and tpwk; what do you guys think? River is a ten, and I look to my left, my opponent starts reaching for chips, so I check again. He bets $25. The new guy who just sat at the table quickly calls. I cut out $25 for a call, and then announce all-in. First player folds but new guy calls with two pair, gets up and leaves.
Think firing is thin. You may very well be ahead, and you've got a lot of equity with the draw, but I'm not super thrilled with getting raised on the turn, where they're most likely shoving. If we were *deeper* then I'd lean more towards a bet so that we can set up a larger bet if/when our draw gets there. Shorter a check is fine since we can still stack the villain on the river (even un-improved sometimes). Kind of right in the middle here.

Turn is a red ten, and I bet $25. Young guy thinks for a while and raises me to $60. Next player folds, and I eye my opponent's stack. He's got like $130 back. I think about it for a few seconds. I decide to raise to $150 (just because I'm not sure how much he has exactly). He shuffles chips and then says, "you like your hand that much?" I shrug. He tanks some more and folds. I have a feeling he wasn't that strong but was hollywooding a little. Or maybe he hit two pair.
Don't like this raise. You fold out a lot of the hands that you're crushing, and none of the ones that beat you. Being OOP sucks, but I'd think a second, check my cards, and flat him. If he really is a thinking player, you want him to think that you might have a draw, or a weak J, or some underpair to the J. Keep him in the hand with QJ here.

River OOP is a pain without knowing more about him. Checking might get checked behind often, leading/shipping large isn't getting us called often. I'm tempted to bet 1/3 to 1/2 his remaining stack. Look like you're trying to blocking bet with a weak hand, while still getting some value from TP like hands that can't stand up to a shove.

Sounds good all around, I'll have to try that place some time. A good steak is one of the greatest things on this earth. Sometimes you just gotta order them like this though:

Sick TR Frank. You left out the overwhelming smell on Armani cologne + cigarettes and the constant swearing in different languages while slamming cards on the table and demeaning dealers. Other than that, well done. And iridescence is awesome. Nice work.
