Thanks! Still licking my wounds from the WSOP, but I'll be reading and commenting on the silliness here.

By the way, are you playing the PLO8/NLHE level by level freeze out at Four Aces Sunday?

In response to all the bickering and grovelling over whether or not I and others have derailed/hijacked the thread when we talk about how tight or loose we play, there is a reason.
For those that I have met, I have talked a lot of strategy with them over the time that I have met. It is always nice to have a basis of understanding before you meet someone, because meeting them cold is a lot more awkward than discussing things in the thread.
As to the person that wants me to PM these thoughts. No, I will no do that until a mod comes in here and explicity says: MJCASRoma: PM your thoughts or dont type in this thread. I find that sharing my thoughts, whether it is directed at someone or not, gets more people involved in the discussion. I know that Pot Odds expressed his regret that it seems that village idiot twoblack9s and I were bickering about who was tightest and who has the longest... but I was merely fascinated by people that play super tight in a live arena such as downtown detroit, especially at 1/2. I was looking to swing the discussion around to, how does that work for you in the downtown casinos (in general and other places, such as Turning Stone where there are a lot of kids, or in Vegas?).
As to the mentioning of the Indiana Poker thing, that sounds great. Jose, you say you are new, so I want to point out that there is a live tourney circuit forum. Here is where it is:
Two Plus Two Forums>Tournament Poker>MTTc Live
I know that I visit that forum regularly, hence how I found out about the Chicago Poker Classic this past March. If you are interested in meeting people, there are people from the area that do post in there, so check there for more information. I have made the drive to Southern Indiana, and it is not 4 hours. From google, it is 372 Miles away. I have talked to many people and they seem to thing that it is 4 hours as well, but it is not. Hammond, on the other hand, is about 4.5 hours, but I never go over 75.
As to the response that posting information about these things is bad, well you did come off moderately abrasive in trying to get this thread back on track. No matter the bitching, people will still come in and post their thoughts and discuss things. If you dont like it, there is a block button, where you dont have to read things that certain people write. So, if you dont want to listen to me or twoblack9s, just block us. Then, you wont have to worry about what we are talking.
Gambit, Pot Odds, SuitedDueces: I didn't mean to come off as an *******, or derail the thread (the plo8 talk has successfully avoided it). I just wanted to know things, and I am not very good at wording things when I want instantaneous responses.

I personally will only play the first 3 Events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Friday $345, Saturday $555 and Sunday $345) they also have a $235 Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or better on Saturday and the cash games should be "easy pickings" during this series.

Personally i am really Glad that he posted this in here. as i am considering going to Chicago to try and play a deep stack event. i really don't want to play anything over $500 right now because of my Bankroll, but i am really glad he posted this in this forum. Thank you. Jose

Probably...what time are you heading down there? I might stop at snookers first and play some cash for a couple hours and then go play on that tourney...

MJCAS- I'm taking all of your guys' sides. I'm saying this is DETROIT POKER. If you're talking about Poker...and in Detroit, or are FROM Detroit, what's the difference? My personal opinion is that if you're from Detroit and want to discuss a hand, a person's style of play, a card room, casino, tournament, this should be your area to discuss freely and know that you're welcome. If someone steps over the line too much, a mod will step in.

Where is 4 aces and what time Sunday does this tournament start?

4 Aces is on Gratiot and 13 mile inside the bowling alley. Usually the tournaments start at 7pm. 586-344-3715 is their number. Only thing is they usually only have 2 cash tables. i was there tonight lol -$10 . but i played terrible. should of been up +$200. tried applying pressure. didn't work.

Was anyone playing at Greektown Thursday morning around 11am?. Two guys got in a fight and the one picked up a drink table and threw it at the other player. It hits him in the head and then he jumps over the table and starts pounding on the guy. It took 4 guys to get the guy off of him. I was playing the tournament and witnessed the whole thing. I guess its something you come to expect at GT.

The one who threw the table was a bigger black guy who always wears a white shirt that goes down to his knees. sun glasses and short hair.

the guy who got hit is a young stockier black guy who always wears red basketball shorts and a gray hoodie. he always wears red headphones. plays a lot of tourneys.

The guy who got hit wasn't taken to jail. im not sure of the guy who was doing the hitting. the cops came and that was the last i seen of it. after it happened the floor told him to leave. (really) dealers were shouting you can't let him walk away. after he got escorted off he came running back in and grabbed his $130 off the table. and that was the last i seen of him. hard to believe the floor was going to let this guy walk away.

Wasn't there a fight last November that sent a person to the hospital for like 2-3 weeks or something like that... I think the kids nose was broken on a trash can, along with other facial problems. I believe the guy who hit hims name was George. My understanding is that he was a regular.
If I ever see that Ocho Cinco guy from Greektown anywhere else, my fat ass will throw a table at him.

I was wondering if anyone here has played the 1/3 game at heidelberg and if the action is as good as ive heard through the grapevine.

I know an ex floor from northville now runs that room and he's great, I was just wondering if the action is worth a 45 min drive.

Ive been there and have talked to people that have played in the game. They say that there is more money on the table than usual, but its really nothing to write home about. There are several people ITT that do play there, if I am not mistaken, but if you are looking to drive 45 minutes, why not go play 50-300 at MGM or 2/5 somewhere. Are you sure that they are playing 1/3 there? I dont think so, I think its 1/2 50 or 100 to 300.
Mark (pillsberry?) runs the room now? I was there maybe 2 weeks ago, didn't see him there.

You should pray to get a seat at Ochocinco's table, the guy is a drunk maniac call station that literally plays everyhand. I've also seen him at MGM. I have no idea where he gets so much money from, probably some huge bs settlement.
