The founder of an Internet poker company whose U.S. operations were shut down after criminal charges were brought last year has surrendered in New York.

Authorities say Raymond Bitar was arrested Monday as he arrived at Kennedy Airport.

Prosecutors sought detention without bail. A magistrate judge says she's inclined to grant bail.

A prosecutor calls Bitar a flight risk since it took him 14 months to return to the United States from Ireland to face charges. He says Bitar also might flee because he could face decades in prison if he's convicted of conspiracy, wire fraud and operating an illegal gambling business.

Bitar founded Full Tilt Poker. He's originally from Los Angeles.

His lawyers say he has cooperated with authorities trying to recover money for online gamblers.

It looks like they are finally going after the stolen funds. A purchase of FT to pay back players was always complete BS.

It kinda depends of if I think I can manipulate them in any way. Some players seem to pounce on any perceived weakness and call, so a little eye aversion and a swallow may induce them. Similarly watching them and staring can get them to fold. The basic Caro stuff for people that don't realize that it's an act.

Against reasonably competent players though ... I try to maintain whatever I'd been doing prior to and throughout the hand. If I've been watching the Wings game I'll continue to watch the game, looking back and forth to the player. But my default is to watch them with a neutral expression and just observe whatever they do, check their cards, count their chips, etc.

It feels like picking a spot on the table and staring is a waste, and hard to maintain anyway.

Ill be at MCC this afternoon/evening playing 1/2 and maybe some 2/5. I'll be the tall dude in a Texas A&M shirt. Send me a sup bro if you see me out there. I have all week off so I might be down there tomorrow or sometime later this week as well.

All 12 tables are full. Seems odd for 6pm on Tuesday...holiday week?

I'm up 100, QQ<aa aipf then had nice run of cards after. Got a guy to call on turn push by saying "you'll catch it." He did not like that, especially when he didn't.

Ha! I knew you were 2p2 from the way you were playing. I should have thrown you a sup bro. I was in seat #1. I'm curious what you had our first "go around." I had AKs and didnt feel like being on the wrong side of the coin, flipping for stacks being somewhat new at the table and having no clue what your 4-bet range is.

I'll be there again tomorrow. I'll let you sit to my left next time so its fair

Was a pretty solid night at MCC. They had that million dollar buyin tourney on, most people were watching that instead of concentrating on their own hands.

Agreed, I swear I either stole just the blinds or a 2-3 person limped in pot preflop at least a dozen times last night from people that were limping in not paying attention. I had like $30 in whites infront of me at one point.

First time I had JJ. You had 3bet me earlier where I had folded and were playing pretty aggressive when you first got there so I figured you could be doing it light. I obviously didn't want a call or push.

As for the qq aa hand I was thinking at the time, you folded in this spot earlier maybe you are trying to take a stand this time with something like AT+ maybe TT or JJ. I'm not sure you're your ever doing that though and paying 200 to find out was kind of dumb. I'm not great.

How'd you end up doing?

Heh, I put you on JJ+ AK+. I was hoping you would fall for the trap. I had to contain myself when I heard you reraise to $85 again. Now that we've had this discussion I'll have to start 4-betting light

Only up $123, I was up over $260 at one point but couldnt make the guy in seat #5 fold his QQ to my top pair+BDFD after i 3 bet him PF. I lost my first buy in with KQhh on a Jd 9h Ah board vs spewtard in seat #3 when he called my all in reraise on a 6c turn with 86 offsuit.

I'm on my way back down there now.

I have used that site in the past and it has been wrong. Went to certain rooms and the tourneys they were running were different than what that site said.

They are correct 90% of the time at best. A quick call to the poker room before heading out doesn't hurt.

The one that I know off the top of my head that isn't listed in the Heidelberg in Ann Arbor.
Roundtree is listed now, but wasn't for a while. I'm not sure about the others.

I personally hate the look of the site. Very difficult to find any useful info. Though I haven't visited the site lately.

You are correct. Calling the room is the best option.
