I'm down here right now and have played at the Daytona room the last couple of winters. Sick action, bad players, and a variety of games and limits. You'll love it and it's open 24 hrs on the weekend.

walked out with a just a hair under +250. Should have about 1k, jaming pre with some big A23T-J-5 type hands floping nut wheel, nut flush, double gutter draws and bricking out to people trying to catch 4th-5th flush and end up hitting goofy hands. Angriest win ever, I could punch a kitten.

Thanks for the Florida info guys. I've been excited to play down here! I'll report if some extreme sickness ensues.

To make it interesting, and to capture the spirit of Florida, I'll throw BRM to the wind.

@jose sick run, play out your heater!

@greektown you make me lol! Me and another player were talking how out in Vegas the person with the kill button is last to act preflop. He said he didn't understand how that worked. I explained it pretty simple, when its the kills turn to act, the action skips over them and goes all the way through the blinds. Once the BB acts then the kill button can check or raise, then the action is on the left of the kill button to act. I tried to explain this twice and each time he just kept saying "but I don't understand how that would work" and then I just said lol greektown and gave up.

Another thing that stuck out to me (hvwnt been there since august) they have a big ass sign near the counter saying how much the max rake currently is and what their.dropping for the BBJ. Played at two different tables and each one of them was talking about the Hollywood Casino in Toledo that's owning up. Are they advertising it just to lower the rake when the Toledo place opens? That place is going to get hurt by Toledo opening up a casino.

Could be that, or maybe the GC told them they had to make rake more visible.

Hey, Sevup, do you know more or less when you'll be in Vegas for WSOP this year?

The plan is to be out there for the whole series but I always seem to get burnt out on live poker before the end. Gonna be out there around the 1st of June, planning on renting a house or apt for the whole trip. Gf may come out for the 1st week or 2 then go back. Talked briefly with Atarirob about the idea of renting a place for the series to share with others that are coming and going. Are you and Gambit planning on coming out again this year?

Yes, we are planning on it, but are waiting until they announce when the 2+2 party will be to set our dates.

New rule at motor city. If youshow your hand, or even one card at any point when there is still action your hand is dead. It was supposed to be like this but I guess they are going to start enforcing it

That rule was enforced at Cada's last night with the winner and a triple up. Not happy.

at docs you can show as many cards as you want at any point without penalty, even in PLO.

This TR is brought to you by Magic Hat #9 beer.

I ended up playing the $40 Round by Round today at Cadas. I really wasn't planning on playing any poker today since I got around an hour and half of sleep last night, but I got a txt on my cell from a buddy who put the bug in my ear to play in this tournament. Normally I play Pamaps PLO8 game, but I was way too tired to do any serious thinking, a slight misstep can cost you 300-600 dollars pretty easily. I got in a little late and they had four tables running.

First hand of note was getting AA UTG (second time I've seen this hand in a week and both UTG) blinds are 50-100. I make it 400 to go, end up getting called in 5 spots. Flop comes 679 with two clubs, I have red aces and the BB checks to me, I check, UTG+2 bets out 800, guy next to him makes it 2200. Folds to me and I instamuck and the original flop better just calls. Turn comes a red 2. UTG+2 bets 3000, guy instashoves around 25k. Kid tanks for about two minutes and mucks FACEUP 77. The guy who pushed proudly slammed down the Q4 of clubs for just a flush draw.
WTF?!?

I sorta know how this night is going to go, the guy who pushed the Q4 busted out about 20 minutes later. Flop comes KK3 with two diamonds. Ol' Q4 bets out a pot size bet, very solid blonde reg calls. Turn is the 5 of diamonds, guy checks it, she checks it, river comes 9 of diamonds, he bets half the pot, she min raises his half pot bet, he full pot bets it which is pretty huge at this point (she has just about this much left in her stack) and she intasnap calls with the K9 in her hand. The guy throws a fit, slamming his cards on the table complaining how lucky she was and how much he hates omaha, his hand was the A3 of diamonds. Yup this was pretty much the standard type of play for most of the players tonight...REALLY REALLY BAD. It was a weird mix of some of the worst Omaha players I've ever scene and a few really solid players. Two or three I knew from Sunnybrook/Snookers

Anywho I think 45 played and I made it to the final table. I came into the FT as a short stack with about 6-7 bb. I would have came in to the FT with near the chip lead if this hand would have ran out right. I have around 70k in chips. Its the Omaha round and blinds are 4k-8k, three players limp to me and I check JJ37 in the BB. Flop comes JT4 rainbow, SB bets out around 15k, I shove my stack in. An old man who calls every hand sure enough makes the call, I get one fold and for whatever reason the SB made the call. I show the nuts. SB turns over KKKx, old man shows the mighty T864 with three hearts. Turn comes the 7 and the old 9 hits on the river giving him the straight and leaving me going into the FT with what I had.

I get my hand in near the first couple hands of the FT and go busto. Overall its a fun thing to play, even tough I run awful. Blinds are pretty easy to pick up and steal once its hits the 300-600 and such. Some of the worst Omaha play I've ever seen. I wish it was a tad deeper, but its a 40 dollar tournament and on par with the rest of them. Two months back it only got 18-24 people, I guess they hit over 50 last week and today was an ok turn out for a RxR. I guess they plan on running one on Monday as well since people want to play it. BTW, I did my best to promote the PLO8 on Saturday, and I think I got two takers.

I did catch one lucky break, they spun the wheel and it landed on half off your tab, and thus that is what fueled this TR.

i feel like it's allowed even multiway, because i was playing plo and the ruling was made and one guy picked a card and showed it to the table and we all laughed at how ridiculous a ruling it was.

i mean i'd check with the floor before trying some gambit to angle the livoniregs, but cardflashing rules appear to be loose round those parts.

I hope so. I left at 7PM last week and would of felt like a degen waiting until 9 to start.

That's about the time it started was around 9. I told a dealer about it at Greektown as well who said he'd check it out.

Based on your consumption that must have been worth 3rd place money.

Your cards may be mucked at Cadas if you expose and more then two players in the hand.
Cadas does allow you to show heads up, cash or tournament.

@Coach McG, didn't want to post this in LLSNL 2/5 bankroll thread, but I have to say it: that was funny (i.e. comment about more nits).
