Hopefully, yes. Knowing MGM it could take a while. Their system has always been this way when I played at Bellagio and MGM Nat Harbor

The game was WILD, chips were flying, all the good things. Lots of people getting felted and buying chips - fill button eventually went up. Everything continued and the rack was the closest to empty that I've ever seen. Another guy got felted and wanted to rebuy, the dealer asked the big stack (who was the main attraction of the game) if he could sell him chips and would take care of it when the fill came, big stack obliged - I'm sure you can see where this is going. That dealer gets pushed. Then a big pot comes up and the big stack shoves, the dealer immediately informs him that the cash doesn't play. He gets irate, floor is called, big stack is way too loud to effectively communicate what's going on, just kept telling the floor the cash 100% plays and you don't know what you're talking about. It's never made clear why the cash was there in the first place (not sure it would have mattered). Also comical bc the big stack had the other player covered even without the cash so this literally did not matter, but we were beyond reason at this point. Big stack wins the hand but is fuming and immediately grabs racks - amazing game over.
No other players spoke up for that player? It's their fault the player left. I would have spoken up for him and also explained to him that it didn't matter for that hand and that we'd figure out how to get him chips for his cash for the next hand.

Also, if a player is allowed to sell chips to another player for cash, and the cash doesn't play, then the player selling the chips has effectively taken money off the table. So the Borgata essentially allowed (encouraged) this player to take chips off the table by the actions of its employees. And that needed to be explained to the floor.

My most recent trip will be the last for me for a while. Was able to book a weekend a few weeks ago when they had everything comped for a few hours. No more room comps anymore after checking today…from everyday comped pre-update to Tues-Wed comped now :’)

RIP Borgata 2011-2021 all good times must come to an end

There may be an issue with the system right now, I'm seeing no dates available period for any rate, from now until as far as I can scroll into the future. Highly doubt Borgata is booked forever lol

They are so messed up. I got a mailing saying I could now get 2 nights comped Sun-Thurs, and to log in to book the comps. Which is still not good enough, I'm not coming back until I can get Fri-Sat comped, but still it is an improvement over the previous "no comps ever" situation.

So I logged in, and first I saw what you did - no rates for any day. Later I started seeing rates, but noticed that the top right was still saying "Sign in" so I figured they were rack rates - but I was totally unable to log in on the book a room page, when I would log in it would send me back to my account page, and then clicking to book a room sent me back to the same non-logged-in booking page.

I just now finally got logged in there, and... no available dates until mid august. Cheapest rate is $237, on a Monday, then some $110 rates mid week starting in mid Sept. no comped days anywhere still. Idiots.

The old borgata site was so user-friendly, especially to what it is now. It's just frustrating to do anything. Alas, put me in the group of probably coming to the borgata very little to none going forward, unless comps return

Gave up on borgata since june. Been going there since the room was in the basement but parx will see me now. Maybe the message will get to mgm if enough people leave.

I would like to take my business elsewhere also but no such choices for us Limit players It'd be great if there was an organized relocation to someplace on the Boardwalk.

I've checked several times a day, I have a book mark on my phone that makes it easier (as well as Harrah's that sometimes has promo rates of 49/wk and 135/weekend). It does change even throughout the day. I was able to get this past weekend for 59 fri and 139 sat (it was a lower floor, but the room was the exact same).

On Saturday, the whole day (middle of July in the summer time), with 8 or 9 2/5's, there were open seats just about on every game all day. This has never happened since the reopening on a saturday afternoon. I got tired of seeing the same people in the 5/10 which was sometimes tighter and more aggro then a softer 2/5 so that's where I usually play. And there was also talk from everyone (either at my tables and even some I could hear from neighboring tables) that their comps are all gone, they're probably done with the room, and borgata went down hill after the merge. I def agree.

It was nice to wake up, roll into the shower and play on a saturday morning instead of waking up extra early to drive an hour or more to a room just to make sure I get on the list before 12 to avoid waits, since obv weekends are the best days to play, but I should really be playing more at Parx anyway with the bbj so high even though it's a 1.5hr drive each way, or even RWC which is under an hour.

There's only one browser on my phone, Samsung internet browser, that shows the rates while my other browsers don't. The key is to find a browser that shows the rates consistently then use that one to check.

I heard they closed a lot of floors, don't know if it's true, probably due to lack of help, which could be why we're not getting the rooms we were. It would make sense too since when I checked in on Friday at 3pm there was no line (for a supposedly sold out night).

I have no problem with them being understaffed or making a business decision to not offer comped rooms to poker players on weekends going forward. I mean, it sucks and it means I won’t return, but it’s their business decision to make.

It is stupid for them to spend money to send me a mailing offering comped rooms, and then not have any to offer, though. Wastes their marketing money, and pisses the recipient off more.

MGM Resorts has an app that makes it pretty convenient to check for room availability.

Having said that, it jumps straight to August now despite showing rooms for July earlier today. Shrug, lol

Since the borgata website switched to MGM...i have 2 questions:

1-in my room offers, i dont see the Water Club now...which room types on there
correspond to Water Club?

2- is there still a $150 per night credit card hold required, or has that changed?

water club is still water club. if you don't see it in your offers it means they don't rate your play high enough to offer you one or it could be closed on that day

pretty sure nothing changed about $150 hold

The water club has been open on the weekends, not sure if it's open on weekdays (assuming it is since it's the middle of the summer) but when you check in, just ask for a WC room. I've gotten it many times and I didn't reserve it (some of them were actually standard low floor rooms too and I still got it just by asking at check in).

Yes they still hold $150 per night on your card, and if you're paying a rate it's usually added to it.

You can probably call them up to make sure the WC is available on the day of your stay.

That's whack considering how many sold out week day nights they have.

Tell the Borgata to hire more people. Can't open a hotel without anyone to staff it.

Tell the US government to stop paying $1000 a week for unemployment. You can't hire cleaning personnel if they are getting paid more not to work. I am hearing that only 60% of their cleaning staff is available on the daily basis.

The desk clerk did the right thing. If she kept quiet and he ended up doing something and they interviewed her, it wouldn't look good for her if she said "yeah he asked if he will live or die after jumping out the window".

How his lawyers think they can sue the Borgata for 10 years of lost future tournament winnings is what's gonna get it easily dismissed by any judge (not to mention there are no tournaments at the borgata anyway).
