Isn't there 10-25 PLO? I could be wrong, but I think I've heard that being called.

they do get 10-25 plo sometimes

and let's be serious , 25-25 (or even 5/10 plo) has nothing to do with growing plo as a game so the idea that the 10k min buyin in 25-25 is hurting the growth of plo is simply wrong.you could change it to 5k and it won't make an ounce of differnece in plo growth.

this game also isn't nearly as deep as the person concerned with "growth" thinks it is. most pots are gonna be straddled and pots go a lot more multiway than online pots.
there is nothing wrong with people who want to play high stakes deep plo being allowed to do so.

games grow from the low stakes not the other way around.

During tournaments you probably get a 2nd game going during the week and on weekends year round is about 3 or 4 games. Then it gets good. But most 5/10 players are grinders who play for their income. You get the occasional player who has not idea what they are doing and throwing money around but that is rare. You can make more money at 2/5 trust me
+1 Agree on all your points

Really I mean, I've one four sessions here in my life, earned less than 50 comp dollars total, and I got the Friday of the WPT final booked, and have three Fridays in October available to me. (Still only one night a week, though, apparently 2/week is harder than the Friday) The Saturdays are more elusive, I've got none at all, but one of my four sessions was only three hours (the first, I had no room there).

Based on my experience of watching the offers after each of my sessions, if you have any free rooms at all, you're not terribly far away (in terms of additional hours per day you play) from adding the Friday, though you may only be able to book Fridays several weeks in advance.

I've been there the last three weekends and heard 10-25 PLO going and a 25-50 PLO going. Rumor has it there's a couple of big fish in the big PLO games and that's why they're running 25-50 PLO in the 1st place. Pots as big as 50K going on.

I went back there after 4 or 5 years of not going once, averaged 8 hours per day in 1/2NL over a weekend, and had every weekend on my calendar comped by Monday or Tuesday. I play no games except poker.

Summer's a bit harder for weekends but very doable. (and it's almost over) I believe this method will get you at least half of summer weekends comped, and all weekends comped as you go further out on your calendar. It's easier to get rooms further into the future than within a week or 2 of the day you're looking.

Check each room type for the day you want, as some days are available for 2 Queen Borgata and not for 1 King Borgata, or smoking vs non smoking, Water Club vs Borgata, etc.

Also if you're short on hours and want to up it before you leave, play like a rock at 1/2NL, where you pay percentage rake and not time rake. No sense in paying $10/hr at 2/5NL for a room you'll pay ~$100 with a poker discount anyway, unless you're really there to play.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask this on, but I have a friend who wants to bus from Montclair NJ to AC (end goal: get to the Borgata). What is the best/cheapest way to do this?

Was planning to come down on Wednesday for the regular 11 AM tourney, but just saw that they're running a deep stack all week. Can anyone tell me if the daily tourneys are still running or if they're suspended during the deep stack?

Where, if anywhere, can I locate information such as total daily runners etc, about the tournament this week?
In the past borgata would have a separate blog that followed tournaments on a daily basis. I guess this one is not big enough, but if there is some blog I'm missing can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here or not but there is a new 25-25 placard that has the following rules:

8 seat Max
10,000 minimum buy in
No cap

I can understand the desire to keep short stackers out of a game but requiring a 400BB minimum buy in is ridiculous.

In order for PLO to grow and for consistent games to be built around it you're going to need to provide a structure for players to progress. Making it that after 5-10 the only game that will be spread has a 10k minimum buy in is short-sighted.

Is there any way we can at least get this moved down to 5K? That's still a higher minimum than I've ever seen in any casino on the East Coast (200BB).

Curious as to management's thoughts.

Thanks
As far as i know the 10k min game was a rare night when the list was overly long idk, the 2-3 times i played it recently was a 2500 min and still uncapped. I agree a 10k min is way too high but its still not a private game.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know about the Blackjack comps? Are you better off playing one long session as opposed to two. Example: one session of 4 hours vs. 6 hours played in two sessions of 4 and 2.

I'm just trying to figure out why I lost my free weekends when I average about $75/100 per hand BJ.

afaik it's because a certain player wanted it this way and the only sensible answer to that if you don't hate money is "Yes, of course, Chris"

(Chris is not the guys real name)

If anyone is going to know (and I don't), I suspect it'll depend if you are playing the two sessions within one gaming day, or two.

147 yesterday, it was only 22 left, I think they said 860 total so far, then today there are 2 starts as well as tomorrow. Looks like they will beat the $200k guarantee.

For day 2... To early to tell but maybe 250 or 290... 140 or so get paid. But then again I am not Carnac the Magnificent! LOL!
