Hey guys if i play at harrahs and tropicana for 8 hours in one day will they start sending me rooms?

I’m contemplating on taking the train

****BTW

If you are coming from NYC by train you can get off at Trenton Transit Center take the River Line to Pennsauken and then transfer to the AC train (which comes from Philly) This saves a ton of time you do not have to go all of the way to Philly..i did that once and reviewed the schedules and realized i did not have to go out of the way

They have a deal where if you play four hours and there is availability you can get a room the same night. The availability part is key though - it won't happen on busy days at all and in general playing in the hopes you get it or are homeless is not a good idea.

I started getting two nights a month again but it took me living in Philly (being farther away helps) and also getting the Rewards Visa and using it for all my grocery shopping. I play less than 8 hour sessions usually but I also throw a little into the slot machines.

I became a diamond member this year, and for every 5000 points it says I get a free night in vegas ac etc. Is this valid Friday’s and Saturdays? Because most of the other days comped anyways

Log in to caesar's rewards and see? They have a nice matrix when you put in "flexible dates" once you've logged in that will show what it costs you.

It’s an offer where you gotta call in. Not available online. Online shows comped every day besides Friday-Saturday

it's been over 7 years since i last tried... but i have asked to cash in on that 4 hour - room if available deal about 30 times... often with 10+ hour sessions and have NEVER been given a room, nor heard of anyone that has gotten a room. always told there are no "comp" rooms available. it's an empty offer.

I know people have gotten it. You can forget weekends though.

Yea I’ve gotten it at harrahs. What I was asking about earlier is something different though lol

Yea I’ll call when I have a chance. Logically it wouldn’t make sense to exclude weekend since Im comped most other days anyways but they don’t always use logic we know this lol

Honestly I get way better vegas comp offers from mgm than caesars.

Same with borg really.. the weekend comps are always hit or miss but if you check often, you'll see them.

I'm thinking about making a casino status match crawl across AC one day soon. Do pretty much all the casinos do some sort of tier match? I currently have Caesars Diamond Elite so I'm looking to parlay that into as many offers as possible.

I believe the current recommended merry-go-round is Caesars Diamond -> Hard Rock Royalty -> Ocean Prime -> MGM Gold. I don't think Resorts matches into Mohegan's program (although obviously you'll be walking past there from Caesars to Hard Rock if you're going to go to Caesars at all, couldn't hurt to ask, report back how it goes!).

I was in the Ocean players' club last weekend and asked if they'd promote me, and they said I'd need a supervisor approval since I'd reactivated/given them action recently (I'm working on the Wyndham Diamond -> Caesars Diamond path at the moment). So you may not be able to match anywhere you have an active card.

Walked up and down the boardwalk this morning and got all the tier matches. Made about ~$50 cash from free play and Ocean Prime seems to have some nice benefits (2 night stay at Wynn, 7 night MSC cruise). But other than that, plus getting a nice workout, it wasn't a very lucrative trip.

Is it worth doing this if I can only show Caesar's Platinum?

I did it when Hard Rock and Ocean opened and got a couple free rooms and some slot play but that was when they were both brand new.

Anyone gonna be in town this weekend? Was comped at Tropicana so I'm going down with my wife and our son, doing the beach during the days, hoping for some juicy games at Borgata after 8 or 9 since the high hand promo is so good.

Is the Harrah's poker room still busier than the Tropicana poker room?

I'm planning an October trip from a Wednesday night through Sunday morning. My best room deals are at Harrahs and Tropicana (Harrahs is just a tad cheaper). Harrahs has the perk of being so close to the Borgata, which I will be playing at for at least one day, but the Trop is on the boardwalk and I love that. Hmmm.

Harrah's is more busy, but there should also be plenty of tables at The Trop too

I have been getting rooms at Caesar's as of late and the family likes that because it's more centrally located on the boardwalk for their escapades. Also the Centurion Tower rooms are tied for the best rooms we have received (Harrah's Waterfront Tower was great though we haven't stayed there in ages and the rooms at Revel were phenomenal). This doesn't bug me any - my trip involves one night playing the Trop and the next at Harrah's and with a Platinum card for free parking, I can drive between the three rooms without issue.

But to answer your question, Harrah's is busier and you're also more likely to find a $1/3 game there if that makes a difference, whereas the Trop is only $1/2 that I have seen.

TBH Don't make you're decision because it's "closer to the Borgata", you still have to drive to get there, and more then a couple times I've tried driving from Harrah's to the Borgata and I ended up on the Martin Luther King blvd for some reason, so it could still take like 15 min. so I would just stay at trop because you prefer the board walk so it's case closed.
