Van Kerkhove added that she was referring to reports from WHO member states when she made her comments on Monday.
"What I was referring to yesterday in the press conference were very few studies -- some two or three studies that had been published that actually try to follow asymptomatic cases, so people who are infected, over time, and then look at all of their contacts and see how many additional people were infected," Van Kerkhove said.
"And that's a very small subset of studies. So I was responding to a question at the press conference. I wasn't stating a policy of WHO or anything like that," she said. "Because this is a major unknown, because there are so many unknowns around this, some modeling groups have tried to estimate what is the proportion of asymptomatic people that may transmit."

Ok that's enough folks. We have a coronavirus discussion thread in CCP. Keep this thread about Talking Stick.

For the first time ever I was hoping Rapini had ended this earlier.

I've never used the report post feature other than for obvious spam links.

No complaints you two, I like a soft hand. It was just the first time I actually missed the Rapini strong hand of justice.

Does anyone know if they are still running 2/3 4 handed games? Looked on bravo tonight and none were listed.

Is anyone still interested in this thread? Are there are Talking Stick players still active on here? I'm surprised to see that there have been no posts in here for the past 6 months, so I thought I'd post a reply and see if it drums up any new interest in this thread.

You haven't played at Talking Stick, since Feb.? Or, at any casino? And, if you don't, mind me asking, is it because you are worried about getting sick? Or for other reasons? FYI, just casual curiosity.

I have kids who regularly spend time with their grandparents who are in their 70s. So yes I am worried about getting sick and causing it to pass to my parents or my wife’s parents. And frankly I don’t want to risk any long term side effects myself, especially since I had bad asthma as a child.

Thanks for answering. I was just curious. That's understandable, though. I actually deal there, I'm in my 40s and I am mindful of the situation, but I'm not high-risk and don't have to worry about those things, so I have been going to work and, fortunately, things have gone smoothly and all is well.

The room has been really busy lately, with all 23 (presently-running) tables going almost every night, and the action has been quite good, so that's been encouraging. However, I don't want people to get sick; especially, if they have health concerns. So, I completely understand if someone doesn't want to come play in the room.

I'm curious, do you have an idea of when you might be comfortable enough to come play in the room again? Again, just curious.

Also, I know that you've been a regular in the room for many years, long before the current room opened, do you play in any other rooms around the country? If do, how do you think the Talking Stick poker room compares to some of the other big rooms? As far as the action, the players, the dealers and staff and how the room is run?

After myself and family have gotten vaccinated and cases have gone down (rough proof that the vaccine is working). Both myself and wife are working from home and are saving more money than ever before (no eating out, only takeout, no daycare, cheaper vacations), so no need to play for monetary reasons.

I do not regularly play in other rooms in the country. Outside of Wild Horse Pass which I played at from time to time when they had a regular 8/16 and when TSR was flooded, I've only played in Vegas on multiple occasions.

Bellagio is the only room I've logged serious hours at. I don't have much to compare it to, but feel very comfortable playing there. No real complaints pre-COVID.

I too am sitting out until the epidemic is over. According to some blog my demographic makes me 40 millionth in line for the vaccine, so Covid will be gone before I get poker.

I have played at TS in the past. I'm currently not playing poker due to the pandemic. I am looking forward to playing after I am vaccinated. It sounds like TS has done a good job regarding safety measures. Do you know of any Covid cases or is this a hush hush thing? Are you still missing some of the older crowd? Have you noticed any regulars coming back?

I'm happy to see you guy's are staying busy. It's hard to tell when I'll be getting my shot. I'm mentally preparing myself for June but it's possible it could be much sooner. I suppose it could be much later as well.

You didn't ask me so I'll answer you.

I've played there a few times. Mostly I played in San Jose, CA and Vegas. TS has a nice room, I don't remember much about the dealers, which means they did a good job. I was very impressed with the floor, they kept the table under control and made good rulings, I thought.

Players, I wasn't so fond of. Lots of drunks, which is kind of alarming considering there's no mass transit to TS, some beligerent. Some of the players were none too shabby. One guy had my number always, so that might skew my opinion of skill a bit. I played against him in Vegas too, dammit.

I am lucky enough to be fully vaccinated, so I'm interested in playing live again. Has anyone been playing recently at TSR? Is it still 4-handed as mentioned above? Are the tournaments running? Is it mostly stronger players or are there plenty of recreational players going for it?

23 tables, all 7 handed with plexiglass. A LOT of people are playing, so the wait list can sometimes be long, sometimes 30+ people for 3/300. Still some strong players, but I’ve noticed a decent number of regs have yet to show up. And tournaments are running daily, capped at 100 players

Also, make sure to eat before hand or bring a bar if you're gonna stay long. No food at the table, and they don't give you much time to go get some and eat.
