8/16 is $4+2. Not sure exactly what pot size it is taken at, but really doesn't matter much at 8/16. I think full rake at $30?
Thank you!

Very silly, but they want to free up the tables for cash games before the evening.

What is the NLHE traffic like in the mornings during the week? Any idea of how many games are running from 10-11am during the week?

Usually one or two 3-5, and two or three 2-3, and both increase late morning/early afternoon

They did a $300 O8 tournament earlier this year with no guarantee or advertising and still were able to draw 58 players. But it seems like the management has never had any interest in making this a real tournament series.

Logistically impossible, the state day 1s fill the room, and there is no possible way to have and operate a separate tourney room in another part of the casino, state gaming agreements will just not allow it. period( at least at TSR right now, no way that would change in time, if ever)

I just dont see enough of a draw ,at least from local player base. 58(08) players just isn't enough players let alone for an OE (somewhat limited player base), or a HORSE(SUPER limited player base), to warrant depleting staff leading up to such a huge event. LHE may be worthwhile.

To many are concentrating on the state event and the single table leading up to it that's where the money is going. Players coming in from out of state aren't as likely to come in early for those events, and if some do and the events were small, well then those events implode. hard to say, but i think focusing on getting those types of events placed through out the year would be more beneficial, let then be draws in their own right.

Run a LHE tourney as a $1K-2K and it might still have a small field but make it more worthwhile rake-wise for the cardroom. And the buy-in size might draw others who might not have been interested otherwise.

Maryland Live just ran a $3K LHE event with 16 total players (12 uniques, 4 re-entries) and the cardroom raked $3840 for a <12 hour tournament using 2 tables only for some of it. At $1500 buy-in, going to be comparable to a cash game at the $7/half hour rake per table, better with re-entries.

The last time we had a 1k deuce tourney here it probably got 20-30 runners which isn't bad and bad little advertising. I think limit holdem tourneys would do well and would love to see them but it's tough to find the right spot.

I would love to see a 2-3k limit tourney and it would go but the field would likely be very very tough. It would probably have to have a buy in around 3-500 which would get s lot of runners and be super soft but now it's to small and not worth it to play he tourney rather than cash

Is HORSE spread here at all? I'll be in AZ for a week on a trip and I checked their website and can't find anything showing what games are spread. I'm probably just blind.

No HORSE. There is 20-40 and 8-16 OE. The 8-16 is a bit shaky weekdays but sometimes 2 games on Saturday.

The likely game you will see it just a "mix" game, HORSE is to boring, usually at 40/80 sometimes at 75/150.
There is a 20/40 OE game that runs daily.

Ill defer to one of the reg players list the "normal" game lineup...I posed a question at one of the games the other day...How many buttons( unique games) are there?

No one knew.

When i can ill get a comprehensive list.

Super stud 8 (separate button, there's no super stud hi low reg button but it's a permitted game)

It's pretty unlikely that they'll let you start a HORSE game that small. Iirc they have a pretty strict rule against "mixed" games at raked stakes.

The LHE, O8 etc tournament used to be standard in the prelim events, no reason why it couldn't work again.

I'm so jelly you guys have draw games. Maryland is pretty staunch about not having them.
