The Fort isn't on anybody's radar. I didn't know about these promos despite having my contact info in their system. Those ARE good promos, tho, and I wonder what would happen if they had decent advertising.

I have mentioned it to several players at the other local casinos but they usually say something like "it's too far" as if spending an extra 5 bucks in gas and 30 mins in commuting time is enough to justify giving up that much value. I would love it if word got out and players started flocking there or the other spots in town with good promotions, because this might actually force casino AZ to improve their own promotions.

Heading to Phoenix in April for a spring break from MN and looking for info on Talking Stick and also Wild Horse pass.
We play a version of spread (2/100 spread, 300 max buy in) up here in MN because no limit is technically illegal just like AZ. So I need info on what spread and fixed limit cash games are available and which of the two casinos listed has the best/most games going.
Also, any info on which of these resorts is the nicest/best to stay at for a few nights.
Thanks for any info you all can provide.

We've been playing a decent amount of PLO/spread limit lately, I think 4-5 tiles last week or two at least; sometimes 1/2 plo8 and sometimes 1/2 so if here is any interest out there I junk there's a good chance of making his a regular or at least semi regular game.

This is obviously terrible, but for the love of god the tanking epidemic at 2-3 is just unbearable.

Not trying to sound off-putting but ppl are prob tired of answering your question since it's been asked and answered many times already itt. But I don't want to leave you hanging so I'll give it a go even though those aren't my main game.

There is 2-3-300 spread w/ $300 max BI. 3-5-500 w/ I think $1K BI and every so often 10-20-500. Although I like WHP you should def stay at CAZ for poker bec they have by far the most games so you'll never go without.

LHE: 3-6, 4-8, 8-16, 20-40 and up. Plenty at the lower limits, fewer but usually running higher.

Agreed, but this was a player who hadn't slowed the game down at all, and who had just been put to a pretty big decision for his stack. Tank time may have reached 1 minute when dealer spoke up.

Thanks Howard,
Still deciding where to stay between Wild Horse Pass and Talking Stick but will definitely be playing both. I will be hitting up the 8/16 LHE and the 2/300 spread which sounds very similar to the spread game we have up here.

First time at Talking Stick last night. Casino is relatively nice. Was slightly underwhelmed by the poker room space, it felt a little claustrophobic with all the tables jammed in there compared to how CAZ used to be set up

Table behind me had Tom Schnieder and 4 or 5 other rand-o's I didn't know playing what looked to be 50-100 or 100-200 horse or similar. About 75-100k on the table if my math was right.

Yes, but it works like hooey for me. Kicks me off after 15 minutes sometimes, ymmv. I've given up on it, tbh, hope you do better.

Ask a floor for the password. It changes every now and then I think.

Let's hope, no biggie either way. Does the Omaha/8 run around the clock? More specifically over night as that's when I'll get to play most.

No, I don't think there is usually an O8 game between 3 am and 8am

Paging UbinTook:

We had a dealer yesterday that accidently dealt a card straight onto the floor for the 1 seat. It landed facedown, no one saw it, and the dealer told the player (who would never angle) to keep it when he asked if he should get a new one.

Obviously I don't care because random card is random, but what is the house rule?

Awhile after the hand, the player asked me because he thought the rule was that his hand was immediately dead if a card hits the floor, not that the card is a burn or anything, but that his hand is dead. He always asks me ruling questions, guess my table captaining does come off pretty strong at times.

So what is the correct ruling?

And once upon a time, wasn't a set-up required if a card goes off the table?

Player picks up cars off the ground = setup; dealer picks up card on ground =
No setup

I dont recall doing that myself, at least not recently enough to remember, but as far as recall, any card that is dealt off the table is treated as an exposed card and replaced.
If the player drops the card(s) on the floor the the hand is usually ruled dead.( this if it happens, it is a ruling that needs to be made by a floor person)

Confirmed. I played some O8 on Friday night. Median age at the table was probably 80. By about 10 PM we went from 4 tables down to 1. I assume the game broke sometime around midnight, and if it cant run on Friday night I doubt it ever runs.

The 4-8 O/8 game stayed strong all night last night, played until 6:30, there was at least 7 players in it all night and it was refilling this morning when I left it.

Brag: Won $300 on the 2nd chance football ticket drawing thing.

Hi I've been playing 2/3 spread and tournaments at CA but I'm looking to start mixing in some Omaha. I just have a few questions , if anyone could hook me up with some answers it would be huge.

They only have limit Omaha, there's no PLO correct?
Are the Omaha games just high or is there hi/lo?
What would be a good amount to buy in for at a 3/6 or 4/8 Omaha table there, and is there a max buy in at these tables?
How's the action at those kind of stakes? I imagine that limit Omaha players at 3/6 and 4/8 there would be very bad but like I said I have only play tourneys and hold em spread there.

Welcome to CAZ

They have rarely spread cash game spread limit Omaha Hi, but last time I saw it spread was with $5 and $10 blinds, which makes it a HUGE game.
Coincidentally, I think there is a PLO tourney this weekend. They have maybe two of these a year, so if you are interested in playing it, look for a flyer in the poker room. On that note, if there is ever a day when a low limit spread-limit PLO type game is being spread, it is the day of a PLO tourney.

The games you see spread regularly is 4/8 and 8/16 limit omaha hi/lo.

Most people at these stakes buy in for one rack ($100), but unless you want to play short or rebuy if you don't win right out of the gate, two racks should be enough. And since these are limit games, there is no max buy-in, although the casino might ask you not to buy in for 20 racks as it would clutter up the casino.

Haven't played this level in forever. It is the same faces day in and day out. I imagine if you know anything about limit omaha 8/b you can beat these games, but the rake might hurt even more in a split pot game than hold'em.

We've been playing PLO several times a week lately, (or spread limit Omaha may be more accurate), but it's generally 10-20 blinds.

What is the cap on buy in, 5K? Sounds like it would turn into a $500 fixed limit format by the turn on a lot of hands.
