I haven't been there, but apparenly Au Pied Du Cochon in Montreal has incredible Foie Gras poutine.

Also Burrito Boyz > Chipotle.

Do yourself a favor and check out the camel if you live in Toronto and want a sanger

Also off the top of my head top of park hyatt rooftop bar has amazing salmon sticks and a really sick view, great palce to take a chick Conviction (formerly bite me, formely thuet) had a ridiculous foie gras creme brulee appetizer. Dont know if they still have that speicifc dish but its a superfrench place so Im sure they have amazing foie gras still. Chateaubriand @ Barberians is amazing, plus if you live downtown you can order it over the phone and they do an amazing job w takeout. Best delivery sushi = sushi inn

of course el taco real is the nuts, i thought we were talking about like chain type fast food type things

thaaj,
Sushi inn is clearly the best delivery sushi in Toronto, which isn't that big a complement, but it's what Scott said.
The best sushi in Toronto is handsdown http://www.sushikaji.com/. It's in the middle of nowwhere, but I went once and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. It is also reasonably cheap for such an good meal it was like $100 for an eight-ten course tasting menu IIRC.

I was a huge fan of Chipotle until I had Burrito Boyz and their fried Halibut burrito. It`s not a chain. I think they have 3 locations scattered around Toronto. Definitely a must for any Americans coming to Toronto.
11-14-2009 , 01:44 PM
as an american who has eaten burrito boyz while completely wasted after a night out drinking, i can endorse them burritos

In the same vein as Sushi Inn I'm a big fan of New Generation Sushi, although an employee recently stabbed another employee to death in the kitchen.

Kaji is very good for sushi. I was a bit underwhelmed by the non-sushi courses. Great sashimi/sushi though for Toronto.

yea my bad.. wasn't sure if Burrito Boyz was chain or independently owned

I just tried out sushi inn today. I felt like it was sub-par and I like New gen much better.

I highly recommend Michi, located across from Sheppard station. they probably aren't the best (offering multi-course meal type deal) but still a notch above your standard places for slightly more $.
