I am perfectly aware of the fact that this is not a HSNL-only problem but I am sure that many HS players would like to vote here... if mods don't agree just move thread to another forum! thx

Yesterday I wrote an e-mail to PTR asking if there is any possibility to delete all the data ppl can see when searching my sn... here is what they answered:

I am sure that they would add this option faster/ add it at all if they knew there was a lot of demand!

if there was a lot of demand they would have no business DUCY

Most ppl using PTR are searching fish (who won't ask PTR to hide information obv) or famous/well known players (who will probably not use that option/ need the graph it to offer coaching etc.)

I despise the fact that people can add comments on anyones PTR page, it's basically a load of busto lowlifes berating players they've played against.

seems like them displaying peoples information publicly should be against some kind of law somewhere in the world, don't we hv the right to not have our private info disclosed to the public?

Dunno, you could be right.
I remember sharkscope and OPR offering this option... guess they have reasons for it!
09-02-2010 , 06:32 AM
they dont display any private information at all. I could have run an exact ptr link on you just by watchin ur tables. All information they have is available just from watching you play.
09-02-2010 , 06:36 AM
i guess the obv way to do it would be the opposite of opt in from sharkscope. by sending 0.01$ from that account. Coz otherwise regs would just start blockin the info of fish so that they dont get mauled when they sit down and the regs get to a seat.

As it effects me, I hate playin ppl that i cant search first. tho id slightly want to block mine so i can get a bit more action hu plo. tho the ppl that refuse to play me are norm the decent players neway. (there are ppl i refuse to play based on rediculously good ptrs and them being too good aswell)

I wouldn't mind sending 1-5$ (depending on the sites minimum) to prove it's me... also this would be a small "reward" for the extra work they have

i think cr/dc/leggo making videos on ftp/stars and showing other players names is already against some rules.

but if hollywood cannot stop ppl downloading movies, what can we do

this is public info, not private info. If they downloaded your DB and showed all your hands that didnt go to showdown, then it would be private info.

i like it

Lol I love it when there are like 50 comments on some huge fish like Snout365 saying that he is a hit and run fish, or something like that.

***** RLY? The guy is down a million dollars, and loses at -50PTBB/100 and you thought it was necessary or beneficial to your bottom line to make infinite comments berrating this guy in a public forum?

WTF is wrong with people. All you bumhunters are such morons, you complain about the state of the games but then you do stupid things like that to hurt your own bottom line.

eg) all the morons who post hands from "sick fish" at like NL5k, when the fish isnt already super outed, and there ARENT 50000000000000+ people waitlists... but obv once 2p2 hears, all the germans are using their sick ninja software to auto-join chasing the bums

F at least 99.8% of you srsly.

interesting that you would say that because over half of coaches have pathetic ptr graphs these days. so i would imagine that they would all want to hide theirs to.
09-02-2010 , 03:51 PM
Of course I want them to block my information. Unless there is pressure from poker sites to do this it would be a horrible business decision for them. I also want cardrunners to stop putting out videos.
09-02-2010 , 05:32 PM
Make it a place to prey only on the weak, because it will show only information about fish? No thanks.
09-02-2010 , 06:12 PM
I think the only way ptr implement this is if they figure there's a sufficient market to charge players to block their stats from view, maybe x $'s a month etc. Other than that, it makes little sense for them to want to do it willingly.

I agree. But the winners would still like to be searchable, as well as all the guys that are down overall but up in their main games... (there are a lot)

Also, an unknown coach who hides his graph would automatically be seen as a loser imo

I think that charging people like $5-10 to block their database, might be a great idea for them financialy, and it should be suggested somehow officialy to them.

although there will be a conflict of Interests between that option and the option to pay monthly to be able to see others stats.
09-03-2010 , 05:18 AM
Yes I absolutely want it blockable. Hopefully something happens.

Edit: If they are going to charge money to block it though, then id rather have the status quo.
09-03-2010 , 07:33 AM
won't happen, some people pay to see stats of their opponents with their new feats.

I agree. If it doesn't make business sense for them they won't do it.
09-03-2010 , 12:20 PM
who owns PTR?
09-03-2010 , 03:50 PM
only make it so winning players can be searched. Everybody wins.
