I have a nice comfortable life here, it's one of the cheapest countries. The only -ev thing is my house is simply awful, but it was either buy a horrible house while I save up for the dream house or keep on working. I chose the house ftw imo.
Basically I spend early afternoon playing... go flying (paragliding) or to the beach in the arvo... and coach a bit at night. Life is good.

Hows the violence, does it affect u in any way?

It's a very peaceful and beautiful place. My kids play outside on the streets in the neighborhood, I wouldn't worry if my wife was out shopping at night. I've never felt threatened or in any danger.

Yeah the wifey is definitely EV+ especially seeing I myself took a good whack with the ugly stick She's also a great cook, very low management and seems pretty happy living with a broke-arse poker player... so that was quite the suckout imo

Jealous of Cog

I ended up in Bali because I was teaching English in Indonesia and would always pop over for holidays. Once I married an Indonesian girl and decided to play poker for a $ it seemed like the obvious choice. Nice, but also cheap!
It's an awesome place to live. Beaches, volcanoes, really nice people, constant sun and fantastic culture.. ie the ogok ogok which pictured below. Each neighbourhood gets together to build these every year. They are paraded for a day and then they make new ones next time. It's really about the community working together as much as anything else. A real bonding experience.
