I've created this thread to see if there is enough interest to make this happen, so anyone who wants to participate please post and say in what stake/buy in are you interested in playing, or you can shoot me a PM, you can post imo 2 stakes that you are willing to play in case we need to rearenge people.

My idea how the tournament should look like (everything is ofc for debate):
- best of 200 or 100 games to advance to the next round
- buy in is 2x the amount of the stake you wish to play
- minimum tables played is 2, if players wish to add more they can, or if they both want to play 1 thats ok
- there should be a different escrow for each level
- games must be played within 2 days of a set date/time
- games can be played at a lower bi level to reduce rake

Is it possible that someone (a bit smarter then me) invests some time in figuring out (anticipating the ROI drop because you now face regs) how many buy-ins you have to drop in combination with adding a small fee so you end better off playing this way rake-wise considering equal skill (so cheap reg practice) OR that you end ROI-wise simular to daily grind considering big skill gap? Meaning balancing these 2 extremes.

The cheaper reg practice will attract people. The 'rake reduction' creates reg action. FPP chasers will be interested. The title will make people interested.

Make it less games, 100/200 games is too much. Basically this asks everyone to be prepared to play 500/1000 games, with not real incentive other than little competition. This should basically be for fun imo. Make it like 20 games or so, else there wont be enough participants

you're right, how about 1st to 51 wins, that can be done in 1-2 hours depending on the number of the tables?

I think BO 21 maybe? So Low Volume People can Partizipate too?

Yea I think best of 51 is good, lets games get more interesting and even if it goes 51-50 you can just 3 table and be comfortably done within two hours.

That is first to 11 wins? That would take around 10-15 mins 2/3 tabling, i'm not interested in that, we could just randomly decide a winner then.
First to 31 wins sounds reasonable to me.

given 51% edge, first to 11 wins has 53.6% probability of happening, and first to 31 wins has 56.2%. doesn't make much of a difference

even first to 51 is only 58% for the guy with a 51% edge

If the buyin is only 2x the stake level this will just not be worth playing if the number of games is substantial. I think a bo21, or we could make it more games and have people sign up for specific stake levels (in which case it would be just friendly battles for X number of games).

It's not only for fun. I.e. players at the 100s put up 200$ each, times 16 players is 3200$, 1st gets 50% or 1600$, do you really want less edge or more edge
Maybe we can get ryan to give out some prizes, sponsored by HUSNG.COM or some 2p2 title to give some extra motive

seriously, go with the league/seasons. we could make something really awesome out of it, it will also be separated by skill/$$$ value, so higher stakes guys have more reason to play cause theirs is for more $$$, same w/lower stakes guys cause they can afford it. This isolates pretty much everyone who isnt only a $100/$200 reg. and I doubt many $200 regs wanna spend that much time on it

I like it so much, am not 100/200 reg but I will love to spend e.g. $400 to play competion with 200s regs
also like more season idea more then just some KO but double KO is also fine

Id be willing to participate if it doesnt take a month volume to get first.
Ofcourse if you take variance in account we should play alot more games to reduce 'lucky winners'

Undertitle for a league or tourney winner can be done.

We could probably give some HUSNG.com prizes too. Settle on a type of structure for tourney or league and then we can figure out the rest no problem (PM me if I don't post in here when it's settled, but I should be following).

Best of 39 worked pretty well as those games took ~1 hour for 2 tabling.
