I've been doing the freeroll steps on Minted for a while now, but only up to about step3. Currently in a step 3 atm, with 2nd in chips and 4 people still.

I have about 35-40 step 2 tickets and about 10 step 3 tickets. It's not hard at all, play is HORRIBLE at step 1 and 2.

They do take forever to fill up though. Tomorrow being a Friday, I might try to blow through about 10 step 2 tickets and see where that takes me.

didn t have enough time to play yesterday so i ve decided to play this morning (european time) will not mention how many second and third steps i have because thats kinda irrelavant (these are easy to get) I played on my laptop and couldn t play more then 4 tables.. So i have 4 4steps and 1 5step... been waiting like 2 hours for 4 steps or 5 step to fill but it doesnt happen..
i just wonder what time the traffic is best because waiting 3-4 hours for bigger steps to
fill up is pain in the ass what time do u guys play?? and of course glglglgl everyone

doesn't really matter when i play - i've been running in to this same problem. sucks!

i still have several step 4s and a few step 5's also. have a LOT of step 2s - (18) - as they always fill step ones - and they are so easy to beat (i seriously have like 95% win rate for step one)... but i'm with you - need more traffic!! i wish i could fire up like at least 6 tables of step 4 or 5 and play them - but nope! can't even get ONE table half of the time.

sigh - ok - that's all my whining for now - lol

i want to beat these damn minted steps though - so easy to beat - just have hard time getting enough people to fill the latter steps.

I am going to grind these tomorrow. I have been just winning one and moving up, I think I will start to do what you guys are doing, and build up a pile of each and keep going like you guys..... maybe then we can get some step 6 tables filled with us lol

Things are going good but I am way behind pace trying to get the Ipad2. Have you ever played Microgaming? They have awesome super/extreme turbos. The rake is a little steep at 10% but they are not just push/fold tournys yet still really fast. You better start crushing Minted! and feel free to send any Jessica pics over, they always make my day. Gl dude!

I got my step 4 last night! I also played some step 2's tonight and they were actually a little challenging? 4 step 2's lasted about 1h 30m a piece for me, we were all even with stacks for like the last 45 minutes, it was unreal... Got 3 more step 3's though!

In the punta canta freeroll (whatever that is), doubled up early against the afk people and 1 fish with A8>79o???

good luck in the punta - its a satty for a satty i think?? anyway - i'm doing ok in steps - just trying to get some step 5 and 6 games going - have TONS of step 2s and 3s - quite a few step 4's - several 5 and 6's.... just so slow to fill tables.

After a day or so this is what I am left with, a little curious how this works as I have yet to see a step 6 actually running but finding first 4 steps really soft so far.

step 2's - 16
step 3's - 5
step 4's - 3
step 5's - 1

I also won a punta freeroll which enters me into the next round which is like a 3.30 buyin

oh god there is one guy (1deadphish, might be one of us here) that i play against in almost every step and it seems like i can not win a hand against him whatsoever.. his move is almost always all in preflop, he does that with pairs and KQ AK-A8 kind of hands.. (not bad strategy against players in these steps who doesn t pay any attention) but i had AK vs A10 and AK vs 77 type of situations over and over again and i can t beat him in a hand.. so tilting!! aaaaaaaa hahaha would be nice to share here some thoughts on players but not sure if we are allowed to do that... anyways.. i couldn resist to post a whining post after one more bad beat from that player! hehe gooogogogo now.. good luck

I know exactly who u r talking about. His only plays are shove, fold and sit out and I have seen him do it from step 1-4. I avoid him unless I got a monster, that dude puts in crazy volume so his style works for him I suppose.

yeah...

yap i ve played few of those, but it usually fills up later, like 8-9 hours from now... earlier then that step 5 and 6 almost never fills up.. not that tough to beat but obviously u have to have some run good in those later ones.. people are playing pretty tight and coolers can decide pretty easily even tough as usual skill is more important obviously..

lol I play him a lot too, and any PP he shoves AJ or higher... but i caught him yesterday shoving Q9 into my AK lol.... he also likes to talk chit at ya too lol... I bubbled a step 5 yesterday and he went on to win the step 6

Talked to some of the regs and they said phish has won over $400 in these steps, so they are beatable

just made it to a step 6!! need 3 more to get it going.... might be waiting a while though..
