Question for Carbon players: Anyone else having trouble with the HEM HUD on some of the tourneys?

My HUD has so far shown correctly in the Fun Steps free SnGs and the $0.11 Bumblebee Room - Super Turbo 6-way SnG. It does not show in the regular $200 freerolls or the $0.60 10-way Fast Fifty SnG.

When I look at the database in HEM I can see the stats being logged from all the sessions. I just can't get the HUD to display in the $200 freeroll and the Fast Fifty.

I've rechecked all the settings for HUD display, relaunched the program, the HUD manager, etc. Aliases are set up properly and so is the hero.

It unnerved me when I bought into the Fast Fifty without enough for another buyin only to see no HUD. Fortunately I placed first for $2.50.

The HUD would have been welcome. There were a few players who seemed a bit loose aggressive but I decided to avoid reraising, choosing instead to try and survive to third place so I would at least win enough for another round.

Anyway I'm very glad I found this thread and started working up from $0. It has given me the chance to reconsider my game before putting a deposit at risk. Hopefully I will get the HUD fixed and continue building so a deposit is not necessary.

I have a stack of FS3 tickets for later. I'll probably pursue those until I get the HUD fixed for the Fast Fifty games. There is too much variance from the shoving in the 6-way $0.11 super turbos.

im also grinding the steps on Minted. Right now, low volume at the upper steps is killlling me. i think it would be a very good idea for those of us in this thread who are grinding them to find some block of time where we can get on and grind out tons of volume at the lower levels, and then move onto the higher levels. also, I know for a fact that if 7 ppl bust out on the first hand at step 1, they all receive step 2 tickets. its possible that this is the case for higher levels as well. if we can get 8 regs grinding the same levels at once we could exploit this and get the upper levels running a lot quicker.

I been seeing this happens at level 1 and 2. I doubt level 4-6 will work out that way. Also if we all agree to play at the same time, I'm sure someone would find a way to cheat. Just my opinion.

I'm sure we have mostly been playing with each other a lot lately. I for one don't even bother playing step 1. Just load them and sit out.

its jsut a bunch of ppl goin all in every hand. point is to increase traffic at higher steps.

I wouldn't say they are not worth playing. But it takes a good amount of play to win some money.

People going all in every hand does not always happen at every level. And if we all agreed to go in every hand prior to registering in the games, it would be unfair to those not involved in that agreement.

So you're saying all if 8 people go all in on step 1 and 1 wins, 7 get knocked out, all 7 people get a step 2 ticket? Is that some sort of glitch?

well before all 10 players got paid...now u can wait days before a step 5 or step 6 even starts..and your not guaranteed to even win money which deters players from even trying to play which is why the steps are in a decline...if they bring back the step 6 where all players get paid i think that would build more traficto the steps. imo.

Understandable about the traffic would be better if all got paid or maybe top 6. Personally I like top 3.

It doesn't actually work, you get the pop-up saying you won a ticket but if you look in cashier they do not actually award you one.

idk if its worth it either. traffic is so slow. combined with avg time per game at step 4+ over 45 minutes at least its just so boring.

well i am not sure what time do u guys play but best traffic is from this time (+1-) that i am posting now and it takes like 3hours... step 6 runs like once a day or once every two days so if u have ticket it is worth waiting in my opinion.. if u only play this time its not boring, u can play as many tables as u want at lower steps and deeper steps are running too.. other time of the day it makes no sense to wait at deeper steps...
I have like 4 step 5 tickets and 1 step 6 at the moment so it s not impossible at all.. few days ago i won 5$, finished in third place... played some cash games and now i am up to 27$

^^^ I agree with predator11, yesturday 3 step 5s ran and 2 step 6s ran. So it is all about what time you are on the site and how many people are pushing lower steps to get more people into the higher steps.

whatttt? i was on all day until about 6 pm pst and one step 5 ran with no ppl even registered for a 5 or 6. when did these run?

Between about 2 and 6 est pm. so a few hours before you got on then. They run the most during peak euro time.

I'm back! Have work computer only - (other in shop) - and don't want to download poker software on it but may just have too! especially with some people finally getting to play some step 6's. I currently have 4 but haven't had a chance to play any!! I may just have to go for it and download on to this computer and look around 2-6 est tomorrow!

a little brag from me.. i played my first tourny at minted today, 250GTD and have finished in third place for around 37$.. if i add that to my cash winnings from past few days my bankroll is now 88$.. not sure how far should i go now.. i think i managed to challenge myself and make something from nothing what is the threads title.. so now i am not sure if i ll continue to play at minted or not.. it might be better for me to go on stars (obviously i am not from USA ).. hmmm i am gonna think about it.. even tough i think i ll play at minted for next few days for sure..
