Seems like a really selfish thing to do, especially to your kids. A pointless exercise with no end benefit.

Interesting challenge, I'm sure it will be a fun experience. I think you can do it but it will take discipline.

What happens if in say, a week, you notice your game starting to deteriorate, your family becomes distant, and it just overall affects your quality of life?

I don't see this being a good experience just from watching the depressing day 1 vlog.

Best of luck regardless

You obviously dont have kids. I would wager that 95% of people with children would agree with me.

Ray always says "full transparency" so I dont think he minds when someone who follows his thread gives an honest opinion.

I 100% agree with you. I feel guilty not being w my kids while I'm at the poker table. Never mind not talking to them for some silly challenge which is completely random and has no reward.

Again this isn't meant to be a major dog on Ray. Just my opinion. I will still follow his thread and blog and root for him.

Rayzrayl Twitter feed has been off the meter the last 2 days!

A little selfish imo, but Rayz is a selfish guy.
It's partially what makes this better

I do have kids. You know what, I bet they are thinking it's fun. He's a great dad, got the kids a pool. Does stuff with them a lot and I've seen him do good stuff for a lot of people and homeless people. He wants to try this challenge for himself and the only people Being selfish are the ones telling him he is horrible for doing this.

Ray I apologize but I may or may not bring in a cattle prod to see if I can get a little yip out of you at the table. Kidding obviously. Good luck !

Yes, a "cattle prod."

Rayz is already taken. Keep your "cattle prod" to yourself.

Do you ever find yourself getting lost in his eyes when you two are at the same table? Do you sometimes have to wait an additional five minutes to get up when you're ready to leave the game?

Just because you can't see value in this doesn't mean there is none.
In Fact if your ego bound and have never been any sort of spiritual seeker. I have no doubt you can't see the value. Just realize that there most assuradly is. Feel free to blather on with your pointless opinions tho. Great entertainment

The above it pathetic and speaks poorly of your character.

It's a tabled hand. Speak up. If someone gets upset about it, tell him to STFU

This actually happened to me, while I was broke and taking a shot at $2/5. I was involved in a hand and I went all in on the turn. Anyway I had AQ and he had A9. The board was AK884 --- He tabled his cards and then "said good hand, you got it.", the dealer shipped me the pot and mucked all the cards. I was a bit in shock and was still trying to determine if I was the winner... I thought for sure it was a split pot, but could I have misread the board? I didn't ask any questions... A guy that was at our table went to the restroom and was coming back to the table. He was just sitting down when he saw both our tabled hands, the board, and said "it should have been a split pot, why did you push the pot to this guy?"... I was PISSED to say the least this guy even opened his mouth. I NEEDED THIS MONEY. It was a $1000+ pot.

The floor was called, the cameras were used and determined the pot should have been split. I had to give half the pot back to the man after having the chips in my stack. It was kind of ****ed up, I still am pissed at the guy... that is selfish though... I should have said something and not been a slime ball about it. But money gets in the way when you need it and makes you do some dumb **** sometimes. I let it fog my morals as many have done. I learned a lot from this experience and if it happens again, I'm going to speak up even if it hurts me. It's just the right thing to do.
