up 102 buyins so far at 200nl this year over ~84k hands, slightly ahead of the pace I need to win 100k in 2022 @ 200nl alone. running good and behind on volume, what's new? ignition graph:

I lived in mexico for my first ~3 years without a visa. They never check for it when crossing in a car into TJ, only the passport if they stop you at all. And I've never had an officer ask to see it or came across a checkpoint or anything. If you stay in baja california you typically won't run into problems (if you look like an American tourist)

To answer your question though: I got the 180 day visa recently in January without issue and I got it back in July 2021 without any problems also, both times right before a flight out of TJ further into mexico.

Little results update, so far this year I'm up 134 bi over ~91k hands including the apps. also missing a few bi of ignition rakeback so almost 140 total. Ignition graph:

Nice results keep it up! Are you playing the apps on a tablet or emulator? Just Pokerbros? Poker is so much less of a pain in the ass when grinding games with a very high winrate lol.

Switched to a tablet a few months ago because the emulator slowed my computer down too much. Just bros and ignition for now.

I'm also allergic to cats but after about two weeks living with them I stop sneezing all the time and am basically unaffected.

How many hands did you play at 500nl? I mean you're obviously crushing 200nl so it isn't that important, but the rake is almost (halved?) and i didnt notice much of a difference tbh, a few more aggro regs but they are mostly just detox guys overdoing the big betting in weird spots so you just call.

Also how much differently do you feel you play on ignition than SN sites?

last 150k hands at 500nl I only won at 3bb/100 ev but ran at 0.5bb/100. the ~200k hands before that I was winning 6-7bb/100 ev and running about at ev. have a feeling collusion has become a much bigger problem at 500+ in the last 2 years but the games have become tougher too. I also don't review hands or do any kind of study and have no desire to do so that limits how much better I'm getting vs the competition. imo there's a massive difference between 500 and 200. not many 200nl regs are making a living off of poker on usa facing networks

Agree about the anon vs known sites, id hadnt played on anon sites in years and ive been pretty slow to making the correct adjustments lol.

Played mostly 50 zone on bodog in this year so far, "taking a shot" at 200(won over 300k hands there at 2.5bb while staked), doing well so far, hope I can beat the variance and never go back to 50 zone lol

Caught the vid in mexico city :/ Wiped me out for 3 days but I'm back to 75% today.

CDMX was as fun as I remembered it. The open air market in la roma has weed and magic mashrooms vendors on the weekends Some surprisingly high quality tree to be found if you shop around. Police did try to stop us once for smoking a joint on the street. We just put it out and walked away from them. They stopped us and tried to get a bribe at first but the second time we walked away they just let us go. It's legal and they know it but they will still try to get a bribe or search your **** if they see you smoking. Just politely tell them to **** off and they will.

Oh and if you go to xochimilco don't go to the main embarcadero. There are 12 to choose from. We went with Don Pedro (also called Cuemanco) and the first 45 minutes we could barely see another boat. You still can ride to the main canal and party with all the other boats but if you want the journey over there to be a peaceful ride and not choked up in traffic I'd opt for a lesser known spot like Don Pedro. Still lots of vendors/restaurants and the price to go out is the same ($25/hour for a boat that seats ~15 people).

Watch out for uber drivers/taxis and even bicyclists who will tell you there's only 1 place to go in xochimilco. Everyone told us don't go there, there aren't any boats, you can only use the main embarcadero, etc. Bring your own beer because it's an insane $3/beer if you buy it on the water. Bring your own joints but don't get your boat operator too stoned - if he naps on the water you're still on the clock

Ecobicis and the metro are the best way around town. If the drive is 20 min or less is will always be faster on a bike. 20-40 min will usually be almost the same on a bike.

Finally have about 3 weeks where I'm not travelling or having any friends come down to stay here so I'm hoping to get some good volume in. Iggy graph this year:

How long does it take you to play 100k hands on the sites you use? Sure stars zoom is harder but I just love the software and hate ignitions/poker bros etc. 4 tabling zoom is just fun for me and 4 hours a day thats nice volume with some rb. I was getting 'bout 10bb in my most recent 100k at ignition but its so ***** slow and you have to grind more hours and actively table select and the software is A JOOOOOKE which tilts me. But I mean when you finally get 4 tables up with avg vpip of 40 and 90 vpips to your right yeah its heaven but **** me all the bs you do to get to that point.

I get about 220 hands per hour on ignition. I try to play at least 2 tables on the apps also, sometimes 3-4 if there are good enough games. So can usually average around 350 hands per hour, sometimes 450. Zoom is definitely more fun though.

Poker is not going well lately but I've also been too busy to keep up with the volume I should be playing so can't complain about some short term run bad. I've played poker long enough to know better but I swear I run QQ/KK into KK/AA every time I get them.

Also played ~64k hands of 200nl on the apps and won 51 bi so far in 2022. Unfortunately I'm down about the same $ amount at 400/1knl this year. But I'm happy with my play and table selection, just haven't ran well.

Majority. On the apps it's more like 50/50 but I also do a lot of HU and table starting. I actually prefer HU poker over anything else but there's not enough fish action to make it my main game and it obviously takes a lot more mental energy. Just for fun I filtered my ignition graph for HU:
