Since it's obvious from your hands that you've become a hula dude, maybe you could explain the thought process behind flatting KQs vs fish's open pre and then going for a c/r instead of bet-bet-w/e line? It tilts the **** out of me when such random stuff gets there and I fail in every single aspect of trying to understand how he could've possible came up with such way of playing that hand?

Oh, ok. I beleive that reg has a sophisticated random button clicking generator. That way he is not only unreadable but also very balanced.

no i didnt, the point i was trying to make is that xela is obviously one of "those" guys now so he should have an idea why that guy played that particular hand in that particular way which i fail to understand in every single aspect of it

    xela,
even though im a lot younger than you, you inspire me in a way that even when you are reasonably older you proved to be able to learn a very complex game very quickly, a skill often assigned to the young guns.
also, reading about someone quiting a good paying banking job to play poker cus it makes him happy is amazing to me.
enough flattering now tho, serious question:
did you plan coming years pokerwise or careerwise?
do you see yourself playing poker for the next 5 or 10 years (or maybe even rest of ur life) or are u planning on going back to a similar job like u had before after playing poker for some years?
or, and i dont think this is impossible, are u gonna crush nosebleeds soon and you never have to work again in 2 years?
i think you are at an age where you have to work to get by at least another 10/15 years so im quite interested in how you see yourself earning cash those days

I don't like to plan my life that far ahead to be honest. I just like to take things as they come. Saying that I do not think I want to ever get back to a job like I had. I also do enjoy poker a lot today so don't feel like I want to do something else but 5 to 10 years is a long time so I can that I might change my mind.

Plus I think there are many dangers to online poker and poker in general so we will see if it will still exist in this scale. Think there are many other things I can try if I get bored, like PLO, MTTs, live poker in Vegas/Macao, etc...

Also I admit that I do not enjoy all aspects of online poker. Being all day alone at home is not nice and I miss having colleagues- thought about about joining a flat share abut I own my flat so it would be a bit strange (but who knows if a good offer comes along). The other aspect I don't like is the negative influence it has had on my sleeping patters. Also not nice to lose money in a day than most people earn in a whole month, but kind of getting used to that.

Finally don't like the effect that my mental state from my personal life has on earning money. Eg. in January I was going out with a girl and nothing really bad or good was happening, I could focus 100% on poker and boom I had a ridiculous month. This month I have all sort of stuff going on and my game is not nearly as good. Anyway, going off on a tangent here.

What do you plan to do in 5-10 years time?

I only played like 20 hands with him so don't have much of an opinion from personal experience but his results speak for themselves. Also it is pretty cool that we were born in the same country

Only marginally. I have always been sensible with money and not a big fan of any flashy things. I do like luxurious/exotic holidays and pimp apartments but had no one to take on the former and not enough money yet to afford the latter (well actually I do already have a decent 1 bed in a posh area so it would take quite a bit of extra money to trade up).

Did you ever bink or were close to binking live MTT?
    02-23-2013 , 06:40 AM
I won a few smaller live MTTs playing as a recreational. Also came 2nd and 3nd in 2 biggish 2 day MTTs for £300-400 buy-in. Both times I was pretty annoyed though as in both I was a big chip leader with 3 players left and got coolered.

buying 4%. go spin it up mate!
    02-24-2013 , 09:44 AM
    Good luck in live MTT's.

Take advantage of sick cash games that go on while there.

Month has been a bit meh, not only up way less than last month but also feel like I have playing a lot of ABC poker / B game in last days. Probably still enough to beat my games but nowhere near enough to get the results of last month. As you can see my red line has been dipping which can be an indication of many things (not all of which bad, eg. making tough but correct folds) but I think for me it is mostly that I am not looking hard enough to find good bluffing opportunities and fight for every pot.
