I thought FOR SURE today at $1/$2 a villian was playing back at me when there was an obvious flush draw/straight draw on a board.
I had an overpair and just knew that after 7 hours, this weak passive had decided to run a big semi-bluff on me.
WRONG, he just had a set and doubled through me for $170.00.
I even said, "Man, I figured you for a flush draw and a straight draw or a pair/flush draw."
He replies "Nah, I'd just call down with that."
I can't wait until I can actually pad my stack by picking off ill timed bluffs/lines that don't make sense from fish.
I picked off a pretty good one today...slight soul read I might add
Straddled pot and we see a limped pot 6 ways, I have A8ss
Flop is 679dd checks to straddler who bets 35...there are 2 callers so I call. It checks thru on a Jc turn..Jh river checks to co and he bets 75 btn folds...I tank and feel like this guy isn't capable of going for thin value with a 7 or a 9 and the only hand he had that is of value is JT but he prob bets that on the turn when it's checked to him with his new found showdown value.
So I called bc every draw bricked off...the funny thing is the straddler shows AK and says I just can't ever win with this damn hand and mucks it. Co shows K8o and my A high scoops. The straddler was like wtf I could have called there and won the pot???
