downloaded PT4 beta yesterday. i spent a few hours last night and this morning configuring it to my liking. really great product from what i've seen so far!

i have been taking it easy the past few days in regards to poker. been catching up on some sleep and clearing my head mostly. i got a massage today, which was nice.

played about 15 games only over the past 3 days. some profit, and my bankroll is currently $271.33

so, i'll be getting ready for a big month of grinding sngs in July! Fishylol, Shok, and i have a friendly avatar-choosing bet for whoever puts in the most volume next month. i know both of them will be worthy opponents, especially after seeing what Fishy has done in his PG&C thread. Shok, have you given any thought to starting one? either way, im looking forward to putting in some major work and trying to take that bet down! and of course, have some fun in the process.

anyways, back the grind. its always easier to be motivated after installing some kickass new software

as you can see today i had very low volume. made up for it a little by making some $$$ though.

As for starting a thread, in all fairness, i cant be bothered with my own haha, i know its lazy, but i just cant even think about writing a summary after my games lol

it works both ways, in my opinion. its takes time to update the thread, which could take anywhere from 5-20 minutes. but, the time i spend updating actually helps me to gain a better perspective of my game. plus, it is a great source of motivation for when i'm feeling too lazy to play.

its cool, though Shok. we all have our own preferences when it comes to the online poker grind. are you planning on posting your graphs for next month in this thread? (which is perfectly fine, by the way)

Well i may end up making one, if anything i can use it to log my (hopefully) successes lol, and sure i can post graphs here etc to show progress, but we shall see, getting a downer, i usually think mtt's are my thing, but had such terrible luck lately lol.

so i just played a short session, 3-tabling $2 sngs. this time i experimented with cascading the tables and i really liked it. usually i always tile tables with a little overlap (i like the tables bigger for HUD space). the fact that i won 2/3 of the sngs may be a factor in my new liking of this cascading approach.

i plan on experimenting with the cascade some more. the biggest factor is that tiled tables seem to pickle up my brain more, since i'm constantly looking from table to table. but with cascading, its more like a quiz where you get one question from different windows at random times. this seems to lead to less distractions in general.

anyways, that's my rant on cascading tables.

in other news, there are only 3 hours left before the start of that bet, Shok and Fishylol. are you guys ready to get the grind off to a strong start? i know i took a pretty good-sized break from the game the past couple of days, so i'm ready to make some money!!!!

only one of these games was a super-turbo, all the rest were STT 9-handed. ROI of 127.2% ftw

my days pretty much end at ~3am so i still have about 5 more hours to grind some more

How come you do so much very early morning? things that restrict you earlier? woulda thought ud be able to ge tmore volume in at about 10pm - 1am rather than 1am - 3am.

But ye same story as me, low volume but some nice profit, and today is off to an extremely good start, 4 stt's so far, and cash in all 4 (3 DoN's tho since i had just over an hour and these were nearly full) but then a win at dolphin

to be honest, real-life stuff always seems to take up most of my day i try to live as active a lifestyle as possible in order to offset all the time spent playing poker.

nighttime is when i grind now because, well... i'm just used to it. i could definitely get better volume if i played earlier in the day like most other ppl, but to hell with it. maybe one day i'll switch it up and become a day/evening grinder just to see what happens.

at night it's cool and quiet in the house. something about that combination makes it way easier to stay focused longer.


anyways, its 7 minutes away from July 3rd and i've played a total of 14 games. eeeeep. but i plan on putting in a couple of 40-60 sngs days this month, so 20/day average is still the goal.

not yet. still being a nit and sticking mostly to $2 sngs. if there were any good $3 sngs besides the DONs i'd be playing those.

i'll mix in some $5s pretty soon. right now i'm in a comfortable groove with these $2s but its important to take small shots and move up asap while still being smart.

Shok, Fishylol, here's my first 3 days of July:



low volume for two reasons:

1. too lazy to play more than 2 tables at the moment

2. i'm focused on winning every sng

i might have to bombard you guys with the occasional 100 sng day to put the pressure on

hehe, i had an ok day yesterday volume wise, put in about 24 non Super Turbos, but then played 5 or 6 super turbo heads ups, i wont be doing that again, roll went down 10 bucks in just a few mins haha. I wanted to work on my deep blind heads up strategy, as i have had a few 2nd places i wasn't happy with, but it ends up this was just a roll killer for me, think ill get a bigger roll before i do them again.

LOL i saw your graph take a slight slide near the end of your session. i figured it was you trying to get volume with super-turbos. nice progress so far, man.

Ah no that slide was the cubed tournys at 8:00pm, 3 of them 1 rebuy 1 addon each, i didnt cash anything, not posted graph including the 5 HU's yet lol
