Ran into some good hands yesterday. My draws missed except when they hit and the other guy hit bigger. I turned the nut flush only to have my opponent river quads yesterday. Got it all in with AA vs JT preflop only to have him flop two pair. And I bluffed off a stack in a really stupid spot with pair and a flush draw and bricked out. Time to get back on the horse!
Villain checks, we bet $6 and villain check raises to $18.18 and we call.
River ($46.89) 2x
Villain bets half pot $23.45 and we put him all in for $92 total and he calls.
Mo money mo money mo money!
Also just busted from the 40k in 13th place for $321.30. All-in from the SB with 33 and A3 calls and spikes an ace on the flop. I was dwindling in chips down to 4bb or so. That's all she wrote.
Villain bets $6 and we raise to $20, BTN folds and villain calls.
River ($57) Qx
Villain bets $12 we raise to $44 and villain calls and we win another one.
I'm seeing AA preflop and getting scared because I just want to lock up this win. My mind isn't in it anymore and I need to just take a break and lock up a good win for today I think. It's a weak mindset but I can't help it. If I lost a stack it would put a damper on my spirits. I'm up several buy-ins so I should just be able to shrug off any loss at this point but I still feel like locking it up. Especially after losing the last 3 days in a row. Need to work on my mental game for sure. I will try to play through the feeling for a half hour or so. That's a good start.
Lock it up. I played for another half an hour and just don't feel like pushing my luck. Only played like 6 hours today. I need to be putting in more volume and playing through any fear I have.
Rick I hear ya on the scared money part. Idk if this is your experience but I deal with a lot of anxiety and I often have to call it a day or at least take a break when I start getting irrationally nervous about playing certain hands or spots. mental game is a big part of the battle for sure. nice results though, glgl
It's just too easy to cash in MTTs by late regging. I chopped one pot with AK vs AK and I doubled up once with AA. That was enough to get me into the money in the $162 sunday MTT. Literally I won one hand and chopped one hand and then just stalled and timebanked to get into the money. Too damn easy.

Yeah for sure I have mental game leaks that I need to plug also. I've read Mental Game of Poker 1 and 2 and I need to implement some strategies from them into my game. For instance I played for about 30mins after I felt like quitting yesterday. Inchworming my way to a stronger mental game. I need to re-read those books though because a lot of the info has leaked from my brain.
I start to lose my willingness to gamble sometimes late in a session and I know this is time to stop. For instance, I'll see KK and be afraid of getting stacked so instead of 3betting I'll just call. I mean I know what the right play is so most of the time I'll force myself to do that. But my thinking is just off and I'm not playing my A game because of it.

Busted out of the tourney in ******ed fashion. Blinds 1500-3000 and EP with 34k chips total raises to 9k, we shove all in for 24k with QQ and he calls and wins with 97os. Brilliant play dude.
UTG limps, UTG+1 limps we raise to $10, only UTG calls.
Flop ($23.75) 866ccx
Villain bets $15 and we call.
Turn ($52.25) 7x
Villain bets $35 and we call.
River ($121) 6x
We got the nuts. Villain checks. I'm thinking about betting between 1/3 pot and all-in ~$178 and decide on betting pot $121. Villain calls and he loses.
Villain opens to $5, he's been opening a lot maybe too much, maybe just getting some good hands. So we 3bet to $16 and he calls.
Flop ($33.25) K42dxd
Villain checks and we bet $24 and villain calls.
Turn ($79) Jd
The money card. Villain checks, we bet $52 and villain calls.
River ($183) Ax
Villain checks we jam all-in $123.64 and villain calls. Flush beats three of a kind. I might have been getting out of hand 3betting 54 suited there but it certainly worked like a charm.
The very next hand I get AK and get 3 streets of value on ATx flop vs KT.
