Played the midnight tourney. 36 players. 15k starting. Play down to 11 players, folds to me (6handed) on button I shove 26k (9bbs) with A6 and run into JJ in the bb who covered. Oops. Pretty standard.

iPhone just gave up on me in AC. Played a bunch of sessions, +$185, +$60, -$65, -$125, +$437, +$568, +$270, +$99. Taking that 2 week break really balanced my life and I played super well. +$1,466.00 this week all playing 1/2! Spent today in the apple store. First they make me wait for an appt while 7 nerds spewed jargon at eachother and fixed their black rimmed glasses. The whole subculture makes me violent. I hope apple disappears on the 21st. How bout lebron huh?!

Taj is pretty good with comping players free rooms throughout the week. when i was in the states, they would always send a bunch of free room offers to me, my father, and the rest of my family who happened to play through a $20 in a slot machine. not to mention that all you have to do is basically call the front desk if youve played for 3-4 hours at the tables. they will always comp you a room as long as you have played that day.

He's kinda like a modern-day Neal Cassady if Cassday had been a gambler. You can read the thread pretty fast if you just skim OP's posts. Worth the time imo.

I don't know where to begin. Pretty obvious, but I'll reiterate: Mike Wolf, you are the man.

Keep living your life. I'm so very envious of the success you've had and, more so, your freedom to do what you want, when you want, how you want... All of which is paid for by taking (lunch) money from the fishies.

Mike is earning 5-10 buy-ins a month depending on the stakes. I'm willing to bet that if you are a 2p2 poster you can achieve this as well. If you want this life it's very much within reach.

Still living in his car and playing poker, but he's a regular writer contributor to various publications / Tucker Max-esque shenanigans on the regular / being a pro-poker player for a new website / kicking ass and taking names.

Most importantly, I'm envious of the freedom he has. I live an ABC nitty life, and its nice to read and hear about someone who has bucked the trend. My (our) generation has been force-fed the notion that to be successful or 'make something of your life' you need to do things a certain way. Its refreshing to read and experience and witness (all vicariously) someone who is my age and is doing it in his own way. I have a buddy who travels the country and plays music on the street/venues to pays his bills. I'm envious of him for the exact same reason.
