Just putting in the hours and grinding up a few grand playing 1/2. Sidenote, comped rooms are booked until after the holiday, I found myself crushing a Denny's value breakfast at 5am this morning with my buddy Joey. Back to the wild session. I take $300 out of my pocket and sit down at table 60 at harrahs at 2pm today. Soft table, some older guys, what have you. I look down at 77 my first hand and open to 8 from the co. Btn with 100 behind makes it 17. I call. Flop 237 rainbow. I check, he shoves. I call. I stack him, he had AK. My second hand I have 10 10. Open to 8. 3 callers. Flop 10 3 5ddd. Guy leads small, I raise he flats. Turn 8c he checks I bet 75 he ships for 175 on top, I call. River is 5c. My tens full scoops the 500+ pot. He had AKdd lol. My third hand I have As7c on 7s 2s 3s Ad x. 3 streets of value. In a span of three hours I flop 6 sets and get paid off on all but one. I had 33 on AJ3ss and donked into the pf raiser to induce some spaz but he folded. Then I have 3 4 off from bb. Flop 3 4 Jhh I lead. One caller. Turn is a 3. Check check. River is a heart. I bet 125 into 40 and get the guy with 10 8hh to pay me off. I had KJ on 109Qxx, I iso with Q10cc and flop J89cc. Stack another guy. In all my time playing poker I've never had a rush like this. I had KK 4 times, JJ a few times. Ended up losing a pot with KK when a guy with A2 floats me and hits an ace. My last hand I have 64hh on 643h. Bet. 2 callers. Turn 8h. I bet like 31 guy calls, other guy moves in with 70 total. I over shove 300 to get the other guy to fold his naked 5. He had calling chips in his left hand. He obliged and threw A5 into the muck faceup. Other guy ended up having 84cc. Oops. Then I had KK and lost the absolute min on Q4426 and I was 100% sure he had 22. I wanted to fold to his river bet lol, but ended up paying him off. I'm only human. At any rate, it was a vicious, wild, ridiculous 3 hour session. I cashed out $990, and I was a little upset to be honest. Oh well, the floor comped me $15. Over the past three days I'm up over $1,500 playing 1/2. Run good+sick play=lethal. My roll is a little above $3,500 at this point and I've been all over the country this year. Freerolling in life. I'm with it.
Hey Mike gotta couple of questions how you played ur hands & some likely scenerios if you don't mind, I'm mostly a tourney player so whatever i can learn from a "Live" cash pro than Great
With that 77 in ur first hand. What if the flop came different such as
238? You ch & he ships what would go through ur mind at that point? Is he goin in with a str8 draw, being a donk and just trying to get paid off with TT or something. As you've been playing live for a while, do u notice alot of guys just shipping with AK when hitting absoulety nothing on the flop?
Also with ur 34 hand where u win a huge pot. Betting that 125 into that 40. Is that something typically you do to NON poker players and know u can get paid off pretty easily? Would like it if you could explain ur strategy there a lil bit. If anyone ever did that to me on the river I'd be like WTF Yo! lolz
