Had a meh sess. Was winning a bunch of 2s but wasnt cashing much at higher bis. Guess i hit a 5 streak though. It was bound to happen but im glad it did early. Pretty confident i can get top 3 for the month now, maybe higher if i can hit a 6 or 7. Ill think about adding in 20s when theres like 10 days to go but for now the plan is too just put in 600 game days at 2-10s.

I don't know much about the SNG leaderboard because I play on RPM but the streak bonus seems to have a huge impact. Kinda lame imo.

Anyway, nice going ruse.

Yeah the streaker bonus def makes it more of a luckfest. As you can see by this screen shot, Im clearly having a better month than the person who would beat me out for 2nd if the month ended today. It is what it is though, and im gonna just keep grinding.

Hey Ruse, was it you that had the graph of like a 200+ BI downswing and recovery? I'd really like to see it again if you have a pointer to it -- needing some hope to hang onto in dark times.

As you can see, the downswings are pretty severe but the upswings can be pretty sick too.

Hard (for me) to keep the mind demons at bay during such a run, but seeing that graph helps a lot. The last 7k $2s I've played look about like that big DS. Still a slight post-rb profit, but it's by far the toughest $200 I've ever made!

I am more amazed that this is a +35k game database and your win rate line is only 50something% of what your EV is.

Yeah redline is whack and ive run good at the 20s so im not as far below EV overall as it seems.

Another crappy day and ended dropping 250 in like 50 games. Called it quits early and had a couple beers and watched the ALDS game 5 and UO/Cal game. Ducks won and Yankees lost so im happy.

Heres my graphy so far. Happy with the volume, wish i could play and run better. Still a lot of time left. Really shooting for a top 2 lb spot. In 3rd now.

Finally had a decent day. Ran way above EV but i was due.


Still a decent bit under EV for the month but im feeling good with where im at now. If i can keep this pace up ill make about 3.5k plus the leaderboard which will hopefully be at least 1k. Month so far.


Currently in 2nd in the lb. Dont think im catching edward unless i hit a 7 streak and decide to add in 20s which id really rather not do. Feel pretty good about being able to keep 2nd. If jdawg or reasons decide to go nuts theyll prob pass me. But neither of them are looking like theyre gonna give it a go this month, and the months almost 1/3 over so theyre gonna need to jump in soon if they want to make a run.


Im 5 days away from the 6 week anniversary of when i requested my check from Carbon. Hopefully itll be approved so i can request another one. Its really pissing me off that my check wasnt approved when people whod waited less than a week had theirs approved in the last batch. Not much i can do about it though and i guess ill get it eventually so whatever

i just went to go load today 3x and there's never any games running, so i get mad and go play video games

I have 40 hours so far at 6m. Played around 5 hours a day so about 15 last 3. Yeah its been pretty slow. Only regs ive been seeing frequently are "Edward" and Rollie. Not playing any 20s though so idk how those are.

Id say im getting about 10-15% less games per hour than before. Turned off some graphics stuff and its running way smoother so if traffic were the same i think id be doing a little bit more than usual. Esp since the last few days ive been mixing in 2s.

It sucks if youre going for volume but games have been really easy and less traffic means less people to beat for the lb

Hey jdawg I asked you this in your thread, but it'd be cool to get Ruse's opinion too..I'm thinking about mixing in some 6max hypers so I can get SNE next year, what do you think the differences are between them and 9man/18man turbos and do you have any general advice?

As for differences, obv less ppl in a 6m so you need to be more aggro. Less ICM tax than in 9mans so you can stack off a bit lighter in 6m (im 85% sure thats the case but it might be reversed, ive played so many of these hypers on merge since BF that i cant remember anything else) Bubbles are way different too, and having a pwning stack in a 6m isnt as big an advantage as it is in 9m.

As far as the hyper part, youd need to get really good on 13-20bb r/f and r/c ranges and reshipping ranges. Also obv get really good at the 6m bubble and learn nash for most of the bubble spots youll see. Id suggest setting your hud up with individual positional steal stats down and get good at handicapping players by a small sample of hands.

Are you sure about the ICM tax part? Are merge super turbos diff than stars? I thought they pay top 3 and stars only pays top 2.

no merge 6m is 70/30 and stars is 65/35. ICM tax is more severe on stars. I was saying that the ICM tax on your first hand of a 9m is more severe than in a 6m.

Just did some quick math and i think bubble factor on 1st hand of a 9m is 1.21 and at a 65/35 6m its 1.16.
