I will post poker results end of month. But so far it's going well. Currently playing staked since yesterday. 7$ 6max hypers, looking to move up to 15's hopefully before february ends.

i am not sure 100% about this generality rwk but anyway that doesnt mater, i think staking without coaching is a bad option for most cases..

imho for you it is clearly ev-

-understand your past errors (why are you in this situation)
-Choose what you want to be (how you want to go out the busting zone/where you want to be/do in one year)
-Make a plan how to get it
-stop fear
-Work
Most likely results will be ownage and feels good about be strongest (by overcome adversity alone)

January update

January was not very special, just living the life as i like it, so it will be a short update.
Last week i met my backer at his house. I was really impressed by the house and gave me an idea of what i want to have in like 5-10years time. Very friendly and i noticed we had some things in common. Both from Europe, living in cm, having a thai gf/wife, dogs and play poker. He is the first poker player i meet irl. I think it's great seeing someone succesfull living the dream here.

Less positive is the news i got yesterday. My grandmom alzheimer has been getting really bad very fast. Before i went to thailand she knew everyone from the family. Now it got to the point she went to her neighbours house and told there was a strange man living at her house. Obviously it's my granddad, her husband who she has been married to for 50+years. So i can assume she completely forgot who i am. I have a good relation with her, so if i would see her back now, it's probably pretty hard. But i can't afford to go back now, im planning to go back for christmas holiday hopefully.

Other than that i don't have much to tell, so let just talk poker.

Poker

2nd and 3rd week of the month i played mostly 3.5's as i didn't play first week. Then since being backed for 7's things are going really well. I've not seen anyone getting such winrate from these games, but obviously the best players move up and the ones on the leaderbords are just bots with low ROI. This week i reviewed a lot on my game. Looking for all the possible spots where i can 3bet, still it's not where it should be, but im working on it. I guess im spending too much time figuring it out instead of not focussing to much about and just print money. I lowered my number of tables from 16 continiously to 8-12 for now, not just for that but also for the fact the stars client has been lagging lately, not from my side, but from pokerstars side. Network status showing 0% for isle of man couple of times with my internet stable and fast. It sucks as i can't do anything about it. Yesterday session i lost 1 HU where i was big chiplead and 4 other tables i had decent stack, luckily i was down to only 5tables. Not that pissed me off the most, but the fact i had scored a really big score for BOP with 1563, i would have gotten a bit more and reached a top 5 score maybe.

My rakeback has been really bad lately by running just horrible bad at my 235fpp satts, got like 15% or so for this month.
Other than that im really happy with my game and i feel im just a lot better than my opponents at these stakes and looking forward to move up to 15's in february.

They are taught and believe that we (Farang/White people) are all rich, and even though we show them we are not, they still don't believe us.

This answer is not pulled out of thin air, but my experience living here for over 3 years.

Secondly there is a lot of Face (Read Prestige) connected with having a farang boyfriend in this country, so when they can catch a white man they are happy, and gain a lot of face in their family's eyes.

I know, and it was a huge mistake to start out like that when you do not have the means to keep it up.

But most guys do it when they meet a girl in Thailand, because they are so much nicer than the average Farang woman in most ways, and if you can find one with a decent education and not desperately in need of a sugar daddy, i believe you can have a very good relationship.

But starting out buying presents outside your normal means, you are asking for trouble imo.
