Nah, you've gotta go with HiiPower or Cartoons & Cereal. Also ADHD and Hol' Up.

Back in this bitch,
In the back of the bitch,
with my back against the wall
and your bitch on the edge of my dick.
Jump off.

I got approved for an apartment in Las Vegas today. It's a 1250 sqft 2br in Summerlin. Excellent location, gated community, attached garage, 15-20 min off the strip,$1k/mo rent. I'm waiting on approval for a second one that I applied for which is very similar and in the same area. I'm going to take a second look at each tomorrow and lock one down. My buddy Punan is splitting the apartment with me. He's a fellow NL sicko on the way to the top. It's going to be a damn good time.

My plan is to grind a lot in Vegas, and use the apt as a travel hub. While I'm in Vegas, I actually have very few distractions compared to the east coast / cali so I expect to put in a ton of poker volume at the deep 2/5 and 5/T levels. There is always action.

However, I expect to be travelling up to 1/2 the year. There is a lot of the USA that I have yet to see, Europe, and the world. Top of the list is poker trips to New Orleans, SF, and San Diego. Frequent trips back east to visit family, friends and play at Foxwoods / MDLive / Parx / Borgata is in the plans.

I'm going to do a lot of chasing tournament series. Tournament series simply bring tons of NL action into town and the sickest games. Increased action outweighs travel costs imo so its a great way to spend time in different cities.

Finally, There is LA. a 4 hour drive or a $100 flight. I plan to be in LA at least one weekend a month, with increasing frequency as I play a higher % of T/20.

$500/month rent makes all the travel extremely feasible. I'm going to save >$6k in state income taxes and pay $6k in rent. It's like a freeroll.
----

I grab 4 beers at the bar and bring them up to my hotel room. would much rather chill on my laptop than with the degens at the Riviera.

Have you been recovering lost ground quickly so far in September to make up for your unfortunate downswing in August?

No liquor store nearby? I'm sure that going for a beer run outside the hotel is cheaper.

Dude,

Since you mentioned you want to travel....While I was living in Vegas I drove across the country a couple of times and it was a great experience. I found Colorado and Utah the most beautiful states. I also stopped in Robinsonville Mississippi to play some tourneys (that was 2009 so I dont know the state of poker there now) and drove down into New Orleans for a weekend and stayed like 10 days because I kept getting high and drunk every day instead of leaving. I loved New Orleans. Driving across the country is a must for anyone who is grinding just for the experience.

I regret not going to LA or Florida to play. These days I am back in NY and work a full-time job but also grinding 2-5 at Borgata 70+ hours per month.

I think the apartment at $500 per month in Summerlin is a great idea...

I'll meet ya finally whenever you rotate back to Borgata..

Dude, drinking at riviera is insanely cheap. $1 drafts $1.50 bottles. Put a $20 bill on the bar and it's enough to get drunk + a good tip. The downside is that you won't meet any girls there. Texas girl was there with her grandma. Which was quite perfect, actually

Cool stuff man! Travelling is awesome. The USA offers a pretty great landscape for a man with ambitions of adventures, women, and freedom. New Orleans is high on the list. There's a chance I'll swing by Borgata next week, but I'll definately be at foxwoods

This is how I imagine EC, holed up in his in his room at the Riviera on a downswing. Except he's arranging dollar beers on the mat instead of rice bowls.

Thoughts on time being a paradox? I came up with the decision that it is by myself on this basis: the future supposedly takes place after the now, and the past supposedly took place before the now, but, im actuality the past, present, and the future are all being created right now in one exact moment at the same exact "time", therefore the past and future are meaningless words. Only the now truly exists.

You are 100% correct.

This moment, this present, is all that matters/exists/meow/etc.

I don't follow you, but may I recommend Eckhart Tolles books. I'm to nihilistic to accept even that.
