Had the most scary dream last night. Very vivid. I actually tested for lucidity in it and it did not do anything. Felt like this was an alternate possible future or something. I even said in the dream "this is the part in the stairs where the nightmare starts". Weird. Spent half the dream screaming and making a rattle noise with my throat barely able to breathe when in dreams you're supposed to be able to breathe through anything.(my daughter was abducted).
Needless to say after this if someone shady comes around my propriety in the next few days i will break both their legs and eat their livers raw.

"failed" 5x5 @ 185 on squats. The reps were mostly good but a few were meh. Felt tired so that might be it. Gonna re-do it again.
105lbs overhead press was easy. I should be able to get through 100 friday
205 lbs deadlift was much easier than i thought. Im really getting the form down and the low squatting has helped my flexibility so much.
3x5 45lbs pullups. Aint nobody got time for 5 sets.

Havnt played much today, i cant get action and im working with my stakes and they're all doing well.

and won a bit vs a fish hu that left me

Did 195 squats. It was terrible. Form wasnt great. Last reps i didnt feel them so i stopped @ 4 to avoid ****ing up. It's getting pretty heavy on my weight and bodyfat levels.
bench 180. Nailed it
Pendalay 145 nailed them.
deadlift 215 sucked but did it. Not sure if i'll move to 225 next week.

Also as seen in the broke bros thread i had a bit of trouble with them. It's funny how people were quick to take their side when i gave them a ****ing 80% in their favor deal and did not report that they tried to withdraw without asking. Then zima posts gently that they owe him over 1k (when they cant beat nl25) and hes not stressed about getting it back(he knows no amount of shaming will get them to pay so he needs to be gentle in hope of ever getting a single cent back as they have less than 100$ to their names) and people are still on their side.

I had this theory that when i was holding my gf i would get closer to lucid dreaming but lately she's been coming to bed 1hr before i wake up so i can't keep testing it.

Im also considering dumping Awoken. The daily totem that plays at night is not working at all. I think im the only person in the house it does not wake.
At a college in London, it's an integrative Diploma and i'm in the final year! In terms of resources I won't be helpful for anything other than pyschodynamic texts.

I'm an extremely deep sleeper but also very self aware - this is a real good mixture for lucid dreaming. I may start giving it a go again and post my results here! take care man

Im always interested in results. Im still not getting close to lucid dreaming again. I keep forgetting to meditate. I finished my world of ice and fire book so hopefully i can find some good hypnotism books to bring my brain back into the right path

pm SN on FT? Mine is pretty obvious. Pretty small pool in those 200NL cash games.

Get a belt for squats and DL if you haven't got one already, it starts to help a lot as you're nearing the upper limits of what you can do.

How is your form breaking down in squats? Might want to look at switching to 5/3/1 or 5x5 ramping (so 3x5 like Madcow) instead of 5x5 flat (e.g. Starting Strength / Stronglifts) if that's what you're doing at the moment. Or just deload and then restart 5x5 from a lower weight.

Make sure you're getting sufficient protein too if you're vegan, and supplementing omegas (can you have fish oil?) and a good multi. Most vegan diets are deficient in omegas / some vitamins.
02-24-2015 , 09:23 PM
It's not FTP its dollaro
can't find my key for FTP

I dont want to use a belt. I want to do everything with perfect form and all the breaking down comes from the core having trouble handling the weight(im at 6% bf with a massive scoliosis, my body is taking time to get used to the weight load as i had not done deadlifts/squats for a few years)
I just need to wait it out, im pretty comfy with 185lbs now. Im just starting to feel those extra 5-10pounds at 195.
I also dont want to over complicate, i always quit or get injured. I just want to keep going slow untill i squat 250/bench 225/deadlift 300 with no belts @ maximum of 155 bodyweight.

Those are my weight goals + staying shredded as ****.
02-24-2015 , 09:52 PM
Pretty much every intermediate / advanced lifter (i.e. 12-24 mths + consistent lifting) throws on a belt for anything 80%+ of their 1RM. Belts don't compensate for already poor form, but when you're nearing your limits they help with maintaining a natural (as opposed to fully flexed) spinal column, which reduces shear forces.

http://www.sfu.ca/~leyland/Kin201%20...0Mechanics.pdf

No matter how strong you are, form ALWAYS breaks down to some extent as you near your 1RM limits.

I'm certainly not suggesting you wear it all the time (I haven't worn one in 12 months, I'm not using any equipment at the moment), but if you're trying to deadlift 2xbodyweight, you should be wearing one.

I found glute ham raises and an ab roller (can get one for like $5 off ebay) are the two things that helped my deadlift and squat the most, other than just doing the lifts.

Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. At the end of the day it's all about consistency and gradual progression. Good luck.
02-24-2015 , 11:44 PM
I have been working out for 10 years im just trying to keep it simple nowadays as everytime i get to something good i have gotten injured. Im in no hurry to move up. Want to keep it natural and a belt is not. I want my body to be strong in every possible way and the belt will take away from it. If i cant do it correctly i'll just drop 5-10pounds and work at making that weight very easy or keep the same weight for 5-6-7-8-9 workouts. Im not interested in getting anywhere close to 1rm's. That's for 20 yo kids
02-24-2015 , 11:53 PM
All good, just looking to provide some information . Looks like you've got a good attitude towards gradual progression anyway, which is the most important thing.

€1 RB every 10hands?
I'd grind non-stop
02-25-2015 , 12:33 PM
Yeah if i did not care about swings i would probably put 3k hand a day and do 1.5bb/100 on bad tables but im really tired of it. That would take maybe 5hrs on a good day. A lot of tables with 35/10 type semi fish run. The regs are pretty bad so its possible to get a bad winrate like 1-2bb playing all those tables with a large roll.

Rakeback is massive it comes to almost a 5bb winrate i think

hmmm real bad run session today. Almost lost a lot.
ended playing 700~ hands for -200~ and +70 to 100 euro in rakeback(really can't be sure played a lot of hands on non-tracked tables.

on the hive i won a bit at FR and then i had a weak reg sit me at 100 4 handed and we played hu for 12 hands before i busted him.

i basically hit tp twice and a bottom pair so he gave it away. finished with quads for 20bb.

probably should of shoved the turn here:

lost 4 times with good pp's to premium pps vs AK shoves 20-60deep

FR i got ****ed in the ass non stop:

raise utg AA. get nit caller 3 times.. someone squeeze deep i 4bet pretty large.. nit caller tanks before shoving KK.. hits straight.. zzz

flop straight FR fish raise low 2d board .. hits the flush AQdd

3bet fishes FR and get Axx with my KK non stop

Then i made some back J76r cbet AJ early 4 way FR.. they all call (30bb fish on btn) turn 2 chk around and riv 2 chk to fish bets 2/3 with t8 i call and nit reg that sucked out with KK calls and loses lol.

few other like that and tons of bad beat like flop set 4 way j9x 2c.. get called 3 way.. turn flush one guy donks 40% and river tanks and donks 35-40% again.. folded.

played an other 600 hands i think i won 50 with rakeback..
i lost 90 on the hive getting godmoded in mini pots.. 85 hands -90 and only one -30 loss and -17 after that biggest pot is 8..

ran really bad on dollaro but all the massive beats were not regsitred
