Just a fair warning-- The less of a troll you are in my thread, the more effort I am likely to put into these types of questions. You're being kind of a dick to Jdawg, but its just light enough for me to let it slide. Not very patient with grumpy fools trying to take stabs at my friends.

I keep a messy stack in the bottom right of my screen and register/refresh HEM on the left of my screen. I pull out tables towards the top of my screen that are deeper/MTTs/or with specific reads. It looks crowded/hectic, but it works for me.

I usually take Mondays off, but tbh I think Tuesdays and Wednesdays are just as bad if not worse than Mondays. Whenever I'm playing I typically keep up ~20 tables tho. Sometimes a little less if I'm tired or w/e but still want to force some volume.

I think its best to pick one format to focus on mainly and learn to crush it. I only add MTTs for entertainment value & because I feel they are very crushable. I believe my MTT game is very solid but I definitely have more work to do with them than 18s, and I'm very excited to make strides with this throughout the year.

I want to play more live tournaments next year, but I still expect to grind 18s for SNE as my main game at least through 2013, no matter how much my bankroll grows. (unless of course I find a game/mix of games where my hourly expectation is a good amount higher)


Yes, hence my warning that I have a heater sample. If you switch to these games expecting similar results you will be very disappointed. Though some are better, I am really ****ing good at this format, have put in a TON of work (still do) and have run above expectation.

My real advice from experience is not to be a sheep and flock to a game where someone from 2+2 is showing a lot of success. I was part of the migration to turbo 9mans after Jay Weezey's prop bet on here, those games got a lot worse, & I never made much money there. The same thing will happen repeatedly in various games, & edges will always fluctuate as regs change games. I advise you to stick to the game you've put the most work at already and learn to be a ****ing boss in that game.

I think of it like a bell curve, the further from the middle you get the more work it is to add a point.

ty sir, I will have to mix them even later in the year when I play off peak sessions, but I hope to be a rarity in the 15s very soon. Steady profits are enticing for now tho, as my roll could definitely use some growth.

Haha true, but I'm always expecting certain people to start plugging their absurd leaks, gotta happen eventually right?? I'm not trying to pretend I'm anything special as I've got a lot of work to do, but I'm making a lot fewer/smaller mistakes than I used to and I'm recognizing leaks in others & adjusting much more effectively.

game selecting is impossible if every game has at least 14 regs. Well we can select if we want to play 13 14 15 or 16 regged games

Thanks man, your thread is definitely one of my favorites! I'm hoping I can follow in your PG&C footsteps as someone that used being broke as **** as motivation to get to worrrrk. I haven't been keeping up with my PG&C reading so well this year with all the grinding/studying I've been putting in, but I'm gonna do some catching up soon & will probably have questions for you too.

1.) Mixing 15s-100s right now

2.) Yes. I wasn't as nitty with it at first but my first downer fixed that real quick. Right now I'm looking for games with 13 regs or less including myself. If I want to keep that standard up, my abi for some sessions is going to have to be like $25, which would not be enough VPPs/hr for SNE pace. At some point, something's gotta give here, but for now I'm just focusing on profit & trying not to fall too far below SNE pace. As my bankroll grows I should be able to mix in some of the softer 200s & 300s which will help a bit.

3.) At some point Tonkaaaa may have just been a fish on a heater, but in my experience playing vs. him & talking w/him, the kid's game is really good right now. He might be the toughest opponent to play against in my games, def in the top 5. My math is better than his by a little imo, but he does some other things better than I do, & he seems to be working on getting better all the time which could get real scary.

This^^, but I'm just going to play lower when I need to if the games suck for now.

By next year I hope to get really good in another format to mix with 18s, so I can reach SNE at a higher abi/much less hours.
