Up $1,250, half plo half 5/10, got oversetted at 2/5 (33 on AA39 v. 99), still a good night to cap off the weekend! Pretty dull December so far results-wise.

Highlights overheard past couple nights: reg calling a player a "bozo" for cold-calling his 3! (hehe), and dealer mocking my laugh, in response to which I imitated his own high-pitched girly laughter, whereupon we all cracked up. "It's nice to laugh," says dealer. "True, especially these days," I reply.

Made $270 at 5/10, lost it and a little more at plo, punted a little against fun player with nut straight with little redraw, he actually had fd to go with his straight (wow!), but not the worse player to give it to. Otherwise not a whole lot of run good. -$130.

Up $900, most 2/5, a little 1/3, loss at plo.

A few hands from yesterday: PLO call with AJT97ccdd (not suited to A), flop 832cc, turn 6, donk, I raise, third V ships, folds to me and I call and scoop both runouts v. bare 45. Also GII in 3! pot with QJT98ddhh v. TT834cc on JT3ccd and lost that one (turned the straight, he rivered flush on only runout). Lost with middle set against fd/sd ott on both runouts, decided to play 2/5 shortly after.

Couple hands from 2/5: open 99 with V on tilt, he makes it $75 - same thing he did last hand - I make it $145, folds to him, he jams $300, snap, hold v. A4o. Told another player about this hand after he needled me for being too tight and he said he was proud of me. LOL!

Call open TdTc, call Q95hh, turn 8s, $70, I $240, call. Brick river checks through and I win v. J8hh.

Up $500 something, most from 5/10, about even at 2/5. Got picked up from 5/10 while getting dinner (around the same time as another reg) - a first. Up until now, I was under the impression that they don't pick up in time raked games since we pay for the seat. Welp, they pulled the rug out from under me. They said they didn't take time and picked us up because there was a list (...!). The rule is apparently 30 minutes away from table and according to the floor I was gone exactly 30 minutes, the same amount of time as the other reg. I arrived as they were seating my replacement, and he hadn't been dealt in! Instead of trying to clear us the issue and get me back in the game, the floor attended to processing comps. So I didn't get back in. Instead they put me on the top of the list (someone got back from dinner break and was then put ahead of me!) and gave me a free meal comp.

I was quite irritated because the other reg got back into the game and I did not even though the floor bagged both of our chips. I thought this floorperson has had it out for me for a while and I told him that, said "thanks for singling me out," and then he said "you can just go" and tried to have me kicked out of the poker room! What a power trip. Not cool.

Down tonight due to plo sadness (-$900 plo up $300 HE). Lost AA332ds on 458Qccss (my nut suits) to 67 and 88, AI OTT. Got it in a favorite against 88 and even money three ways. Lost top set twice too. Then grinded 5/10 a little and apparently men can wear broaches now? Saw an ESPN commentator with one on anyway. The “bro broach”!

Oh, buying in deeper at 5/10 now. Timing has nothing to do with being picked up from the game last night. Nothing at all.

Down $1.5k 5/10, up $500 plo, could not win a hand at 5/10 until near the end of the night at a good table. Splashed around in 10/25 for 45 minutes also to get a feel for it and play comfier at 5/10. It definitely helped, I came back to 5/10 more at ease putting out red chips for blinds instead of greens.

Sucky session, didn't go to showdown with a couple of decent but not great hands against tight players or bad runouts given the action. Sigh.

Up $400 or so, 5/10 bailed me out, lost top set in plo (again!), also "bluffed" a tilted old man (I was good, he called with J-high fd when I potted A-blocker in 4! pot), oops. I'll take it given how this month has been going.

Bleh day down $300 from plo (AA lost to TT).

Good day, up about $1k, half from 5/10 other from plo. Ds AAJT3 held AI pre, I gave him some back before table broke in $200 waterfall (to be a sport). Had a good time at 5/10, feel like I fit in more.

Just broke my first game. A milestone! Juicy and deep plo game tonight, gonna try for another record. Halfway there so far.

Almost broke the second game, up $4500 on the night! If I played a couple spots a little better I easily could have been up $10k. (Deep fish to my right, left before I could get the chance/missed a couple opportunities if I played top set more aggressively on 589r and if I had re-potted pre with AKQQJss, instead chose to flat a 3!.)

Nice way to cap off the day, started the afternoon getting an EKG (feeling chest pain lately), got COVID test too, and that was negative, and thankfully the EKG normal. Woot!

My compassionate release client was released! Yaaaay! More good news! SWEET!

THANKS! Inclement weather today, might have to Uber or take night off.

Staying in due to bad weather conditions (sleet/rain/snow), last time I drove in the snow ended up poorly. Good to learn from your mistakes in poker and life, right?

Anyhoo, some big pots from last night included wrap+second nfd against top set, then full wrap and top pair blocker stacking top set (again) on 489r with 679JT and then GII three ways with AKQ95 on 8JTr and holding against KK and a broadway wrap. Flopped quads on 223 against 33 and *I think* 66 on 6, 4 runout. Chose my bluff/or not spots carefully against the right Vs and shut it down on bad runouts.

Getting better at positive table presence, staying cheerful, something that I have developed with more experience and the knowledge that I have a huge edge over the long term.

Up $875 from Omaha, broke even 5/T. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a true upswing at 5/T. Then again, I only have a 350 hour sample so meh. Who cares.
