You've "made it" when you are naturally happy and comfortable with who you are. And that kind of positivity will naturally tend to attract success.

you're having a brilliant run but it wasn't that long ago that you were complaining about an 8 month break even stretch or whatever it was and there are still a lot of things that can happen that can get in the way of this continuing....from an x000 hand run of brutal cards, to your games drying up or getting closed down or you getting locked out, to being cheated or a life situation that comes up and takes a huge chunk of your roll or whatever the other things are.

again, you don't need to answer this because the comment wasn't about you/your situation, but the point is that the overall issues with poker as a profession are mainly structural and unavoidable and that's why a lot of people who are 'successful' by poker standards still do everything they can to get out and are wise to do so
